This meditation is meant to help ground you as well as help cultivate a sense of connectedness with yourself and the world around you. If you're feeling ungrounded and/or disconnected from yourself, other people, the planet, this meditation can help bring you back into your body and the present moment in a way that will allow you to move forward with a sense of calm and empowerment.

Come to find a comfortable posture for your body in this moment.

Whether that's seated or lying down,

Take a moment to discover what will serve you and your body the most in this moment.

And as you settle in,

Know that you can always make adjustments as needed.

I invite you now to close your eyes if that's comfortable.

If not,

You can always find a soft gaze on a point of focus.

We're going to bring our awareness inward by focusing on the breath.

With a gentle,

Compassionate awareness,

Just notice how your breath is exactly in this moment,

Without a right or wrong way to be.

Now bring your gaze inward,

Softly letting go of the focus of the breath,

Knowing you can return there at any moment in this practice and throughout your day.

I'm going to go on a journey to invite a sense of grounding and connection into our mind,

Body,

Spirit,

And soul.

Imagine that you see yourself exactly where you are in this moment.

See the posture that your body is in.

See the room in which you're in.

And wherever you are in this moment,

Imagine that a beautiful,

Blue,

Glowing door appears.

This door appears to have magical qualities.

As you slowly approach the door,

You notice that the knob begins to glow a golden,

Bright hue.

As you place your hand on the doorknob,

You notice a sense of heat radiating throughout your body.

As you open the door and walk through it,

You find yourself in a beautiful rainforest.

Lush green trees,

Majestic flowers in every color of the rainbow.

You look down and see that there's a path.

And as you step onto the path,

It begins to illuminate with a glowing white light,

Allowing you to focus and see exactly where you're going.

And as you follow this path through this lush,

Green rainforest,

You hear the sounds of exotic birds singing to you,

Welcoming you.

You can feel the air blowing against your skin.

And as you continue walking on this path,

You hear the subtle sound of waves.

With every step,

The sound of the waves becomes louder and louder.

And all of a sudden,

You see a clearing in the rainforest.

And as you approach the opening,

You see a long stretch of white beach and crystal clear blue water.

As you step off the path and onto the sand,

You feel the warmth of the sound against your feet.

And as you walk towards this beautiful crystal clear blue water,

You listen to the sound of the waves,

Feel the warmth of the sun on your skin.

And as you slowly approach the water,

You sit down in the sand.

It invites a sense of grounding into your body.

As you look out to the water and watch the waves flow in and out,

You notice that the waves begin to sync up with your breath.

As you inhale,

The waves move in towards you.

And as you exhale,

The waves move back out to the sea,

Noticing this giving and receiving between you and Mother Earth.

And as you sit here on this beach,

You notice a sense of grounding and connection to something bigger than you.

You notice the support from the earth,

The connection of the waves with your breath,

The warmth of the sun on your skin.

As you look out to the crystal clear blue water,

You see the magical blue door appear.

You slowly get up and take one step after the other into the warm crystal clear blue water.

You notice that the blue door is resting on marble stairs.

As you slowly walk up the marble stairs and place your hand on the golden knob,

You notice that sense of heat and connection radiating throughout your being.

Take one look back at the beautiful white beach,

The lush green rainforest,

And taking any sense of grounding and connection that you found and bringing it back through the blue door,

Back into your space,

And slowly letting the visualization go and returning to your breath.

Just noticing how you feel in this moment without a right or wrong way to feel,

And slowly beginning to deepen your breath.

Rub the thumb of the fingertips,

And when you feel ready,

Very gently,

If the eyes are closed,

Opening the eyes.

As you slowly begin to integrate your inner and your outer worlds as one,

Holding on and integrating any sense of grounding and connection that you found in the meditation.

May you carry those feelings with you throughout the rest of your day.
