Hi.
Today,
I would like to invite you to pause throughout the day to notice stress in your body.
You might set a mindful bell to go off every hour,
Or you might just make a point of pausing once in the morning,
Once in the afternoon,
Once in the evening to check in,
Whatever works for you.
But the consistency is important.
The idea is to become more aware of the ways that our bodies hold stress because it's only when we see it that we're able to release it.
So let's take a moment now.
Close your eyes if you're able.
And I invite you to take a few deep breaths wherever you are.
And just beginning to scan your body from head to toe.
Noticing any places of tension or tightness in your body.
And as you do this,
You might invite some breath into those places.
Just noticing any softening.
That occurs as you do this.
As you exhale,
You might imagine an image like an ice cube melting in hot water.
Or maybe a warm,
Soothing light spreading down through your body.
With each inhalation,
You might imagine breathing in something to take into your body that feels nourishing,
Like relaxation or calm or ease.
And the idea here is not to force anything,
To just allow yourself to meet yourself right where you are.
With curiosity and kindness.
Just noticing whatever is showing up.
And breathing,
Right?
Into.
Thank you.
Very space of whatever's here.
And after about a minute or so,
Stop and move on with your day.
I'd love to hear what you experience with this.
I hope that just taking these little mini mindful moments throughout your day.
Can help to create and invite in a little bit more ease.
Take good care.
