If it's hard to be with everything going on in the world right now, if your spirit is weary and having a hard time finding hope, this meditation might help. It isn't a magic wand, making it all go away. But it does give you and your spirit a chance to settle, breathe and center. Take care of you.

Hey there,

Welcome to a hit of hope.

And I don't know about you,

But I could use some hope right now.

This world,

It is so much,

Too much sometimes.

It's hard to look at the news,

Listen to the division,

Be with it all,

Every minute of every day.

Maybe your spirit is weary.

Maybe you feel broken.

Can I just say,

That's understandable.

That's the human response right now.

But it's not comfortable to be in that space all day,

Every day.

So,

For this time together,

Let's settle and breathe gently.

Even that can seem like a Herculean task.

So,

Just try and take a breath in and let it feed you,

And let a breath out,

Surrendering.

Breathe in.

Know that you have this beautiful,

Steady center.

Breathe out and let it all go.

Drop in to the breath.

Even this can feel like it's too much,

And if we don't stop,

If we don't center and quiet,

That can take a toll in all kinds of ways.

So,

Trust the gentle work of quieting,

Centering.

Allow the softness,

The centering.

Dear spirit,

May you continue to shine in this dark and troubled world.

Thank you. Please keep sharing your hits of hope. To quote Bob Dylan: โ€œThey say the darkest hour is right before the dawnโ€. Letโ€™s hope so because it is so, so dark out there.

Always love your Hits of Hope and happy when I see youโ€™ve posted a new one. Itโ€™s easy to feel like the world is circling the drain; whatโ€™s the point of anything? It takes encouragement to keep going. Thanks.
