Welcome to a hit of hope.

Take a nice deep inhale and let it all go.

Your breath is an anchor.

Your mind is a monkey.

Exhale,

Exhale.

Maybe your monkey mind is already flinging poo.

What about your list of things to do?

What about your failures?

What about the ways you've effed everything up again?

What about the bank account?

The upcoming test?

The dinner party with that relative?

Inhale,

Exhale.

Your mind is a monkey.

Your breath is an anchor.

Inhale,

Exhale.

Quiet yourself.

Rest.

Seriously rest.

I know,

Rest?

Your mind would rather tear the pillows apart.

Feathers everywhere.

Chaos another mess to clean up.

Because then the mind can be distracted.

The mind doesn't have to face whatever is really there.

Whatever's waiting to be heard.

Whatever's waiting to be felt and dealt with.

Inhale,

Exhale.

You can sit.

Breathe.

Center.

Be with whatever arises.

Inhale,

Exhale.

This brought me back to monkey mind.. have gratefully been for the most part free of that ..since breath work of breathing in here and now .. breathing out there and then. And every now and again like whack a mole ,depending on the day ..monkey mind reappears as ifto say … you’re not on Thich Nhat Hanh’s level of nirvana and inner peace yet…and that’s okay 💜🙏Thank you !

Yeah, my monkey is flinging it, like a gattling gun. Right now, the anchor is saving my life. CONSTANTLY. Slow it down. Calm. Love myself as she loved me. As I love her. My breath is an anchor. Just don't cut the chain.

This switched on a light in my being, not just a bulb but a huge spotlight that stopped Monkey Mind in its tracks and said "Aha! Now I know what you've been trying to do all this time."
