You can begin by slowing down your breathing,

Making your exhales longer than your inhales.

And as you settle into this meditation,

You are invited to soften,

To breathe,

And to focus your thoughts in a way that will support the grieving process.

Grief and vulnerability are not signs of weakness,

They are doorways to healing,

To deeper self-connection and to the quiet strength that lives within you.

In this affirmation meditation,

Your emotions are welcome,

Without judgment,

Without brushing.

Allow them to move through you with grace.

These affirmations are designed to remind you that you are safe to feel,

That you are whole even in moments of sorrow.

These words are not just thoughts,

They are nourishment for your heart,

Guiding you towards trust,

Resiliency,

And peace.

So take a deep breath and allow these affirmations to sink into the deepest part of your subconscious mind.

I am present.

I am present.

I am relaxing my chest.

I am relaxing my belly.

I am relaxing my face.

And I am safe to relax any parts of myself that have been holding tension.

It's getting easier for me to soften and let go.

I am open to what my heart needs to feel in this moment.

I am safe in my vulnerability,

Even when it feels raw or messy.

I give myself permission to grieve in my own time,

In my own way.

I allow my grief to move through me like waves,

Trusting that this too shall pass.

I am willing to embrace the unknown,

Even when it feels heavy.

I am getting stronger every day and I am able to hold both sorrow and love.

I trust and know that grief and joy can exist in the same moment.

I trust and know that grief and gratitude can exist in the same space.

In my tenderness,

I find my strength.

In my tenderness,

I find compassion.

In my tenderness,

I find patience.

I am learning to trust that peace will find me again.

I know that I am not alone.

I know that I am whole,

Even in the spaces where loss has touched me.

In my process,

I know I can take my time.

There is no rush.

There is no right way.

The way I move through this process is my own.

In this moment,

I honor what was,

While making space for what will be.

I soften and forgive what needs to be forgiven.

I relax into letting go.

I cherish my memories and I allow them to bring me joy.

I am whole even in my grief.

I am whole even when I feel empty.

I am whole even if I cannot see in the darkness.

I am whole even in the face of change.

I am evolving and changing in this process.

I trust this process of transformation.

I trust this process of grieving.

In this loss,

I find myself new.

I know I will never be the same again,

And that's a good thing,

Because I am now becoming more resilient and wiser from my experiences,

And I am able to access new states of love.

Thank you,

Grief,

For teaching me how to love.

Thank you,

Life,

For this opportunity to grow.

Thank you for this opportunity to rise again and again.

This moment is a gift,

And I choose to remain present.

I am open.

I am relaxed.

I am safe to feel.

All of my emotions are valid.

I am learning in this beautiful journey of letting go.

I am at peace.

I am thankful.

I am so thankful.

Settling into gratitude as this meditation comes to an end,

And know that these affirmations are not just words spoken in stillness.

They are seeds planted within you,

Ready to grow in your daily life.

So whenever your mind drifts into doubt or heaviness,

Return to these affirmations.

Let them guide you back to center,

Reminding that you are safe to feel,

That you are strong in your softness,

And whole even in the midst of change.

Bring this sense of calm with you.

Let your breath anchor you.

Let your thoughts be kind.

And when you need simply return,

The space is always here for you.

And if you like,

You can place your hands on your heart.

Gently open your eyes and move into this next part of your day with grace.

This short support is an incredibly helpful way to Move Forward through grief and loss of Every Thing, whether A Loved One, A beloved pet, A limb, A job, A home, A community, An object, A choice…. I find it to be especially beneficial to do in bed upon awakening. Thank you.
