Chapter 15,
Ask for Help.
This can be a tough one.
In this I-can-do-it-all world,
Asking for help may seem like a sign of weakness or an inability to manage your time effectively.
My mother would say,
You can help no one,
Especially yourself,
If you are worn out and dog tired.
I used to be so busy I had a change of clothes I would keep in the car.
I would be gone all day long.
I had to rethink where I wanted to focus my T.
That's time,
Energy,
And or effort.
Everything in life requires some form of T.
I looked at what I was doing and where I was spending my time,
And I decided to limit my major activities to three a day.
Making this change helped me really think about where I wanted to focus my T.
Sometimes we need to slow down and assess and reassess how we truly want to spend our time.
If you think you have too much to do or not enough time to do what is needed,
You do.
Learn to say no or ask for help.
Don't forget to reciprocate and help others when your time frees up.
Practice.
Look at your list of things to do as you plan your day.
Is there anything you need help with?
Ask someone to help you with those items.
Affirmation,
I allow people to help me when I am in need.
