Greetings and welcome to the Why Struggle Podcast.

I'm your host,

Barbara J.

Faison,

And my intention with this podcast is to offer ideas,

Insights,

And inspirations so you can live life better.

Greetings and welcome to 2025 Week 23,

Celebrating Life's Moments.

This is a podcast about celebrating life's milestones and moments.

If you are new to the podcast,

Welcome,

And if you listen regularly,

Thank you.

How are you feeling about things these days?

The world is experiencing a lot of turmoil,

Including the weather,

Political changes,

And even in our personal lives.

It can be a lot to process.

When things are not going the way I like them to go,

It may be easy to question what's happening in and to the world.

It can be easy to write off the world as this horrible place and feel like,

Why bother?

Nothing good is happening anyway.

And then,

I have those times of remembering to stay in the moment and enjoy what is happening.

I am reminded that you,

I,

And the world are and will be just right.

I remember that life is about moments and milestones,

And in each moment,

We can take it in,

Feel it in our bodies,

Notice how we feel,

And be with those feelings.

And yes,

Those feelings may range from deep despair to extreme happiness.

Life is filled with moments,

Including births,

Graduations,

Marriages,

Divorces,

Anniversaries,

Celebration,

And death.

The milestones in life can be our pathway to happiness and joy.

I had not seen Ryan Delane for several years in person.

He was in college.

During the pandemic,

He and his family,

Parents Chris and Susan,

And brother Justin,

Meditated with me regularly on the weekends.

At that time,

I hosted a daily meditation practice live on Facebook.

Most weekends for about three years,

The Delane family would meditate with me,

And sometimes they were the only people to meditate live with me.

I have such fond memories of those times.

When my husband TD and I arrived at the Delane family home to celebrate Ryan's college graduation,

I felt so proud and excited for this milestone for him and his family.

What a lovely reminder that even when the world feels chaotic,

We must continue to enjoy,

Celebrate,

And embrace all life's uncertainties.

As Ryan and his friends left to continue the celebration elsewhere,

They all said goodbye to every person that was there.

In my day,

We called that good home training.

This weekend celebration reminded me of my book excerpt,

Celebrate Everything.

I hope it serves as a reminder to take all of life in.

Celebrate everything.

Life is a journey,

A trip,

A deck of cards.

Life defies a single definition because moment by moment,

Life changes.

Life is different for each person every moment.

Just as life changes,

We change and grow based on our experiences.

Treat yourself to something because you met a goal.

Celebrate.

Life simply is.

Being alive is cause for a celebration.

Take a moment to think of a reason to celebrate.

Treat yourself to something because you met a goal.

Celebrate.

Perhaps you didn't use your cell phone when you were having a meal.

Celebrate.

Every day,

Find reasons to be grateful for life and celebrate.

Sometimes it's just as simple as not beating yourself up about something you did.

Now that is cause for a major celebration.

Practice.

Think about the music you've listened to,

The movies you've seen,

The friends in your life,

And how they may have changed over the years.

Treat yourself to something you enjoy.

You deserve it.

Affirmation.

I celebrate life and I'm grateful for all my life experiences.

End of excerpt.

What can you celebrate right now in this moment?

If you can,

Join me as we take a few moments to be with our breath and our body.

Let's create a memory that we can use to remind us to celebrate.

If you're able to join me,

We'll take a deep breath in through the nose and a loud exhale through the mouth.

Breathe in and out.

Let your shoulders drop down and relax as you take another deep breath in through the nose and a loud exhale through the mouth.

Breathe in and breathe out.

Ah.

If you'd like to close your eyes to go inward a little deeper,

Please feel free.

Where in your life can you give yourself permission to feel a deep sense of gratitude,

Appreciation,

And celebration?

Maybe you completed a goal.

Perhaps you didn't do something you have done in the past and you're proud of your growth.

It can be something that feels simple or small or something large or significant.

I'll give you about a minute to allow something to come to you.

I'm back and it's time to return to this present moment.

How are you feeling right now?

If something came up for you,

Wonderful.

If not,

Be open to lovely surprises when you least expect them.

Repeat,

I am willing to receive insight at just the right time.

I'd love to know what moments or milestones you are taking the time to celebrate.

Feel free to leave a comment,

Observation,

Or reflection where you're listening to this podcast.

Thank you Barbara! This meditation really sat my mind and my situation even more in perspective. I just came home from a 2 months trip from Spain where I lived by my own. I just realized even more that I have a wonderful family and friends who has always been there for me! And has given me the biggest warmth since I came home to Denmark. That is a big gratitude for me! ❤️🙏

Thank you very much as always. We’ve had a lot of loss in our family lately but I try to do plenty of blessings counting and celebrating as well. There are plenty! Lovely to be reminded.
