Welcome to this somatic morning meditation.
We're going to start by just bringing some awareness to our hands.
Gently stroking the palms of our hands with our fingertips.
And breathing deeply.
And if it feels okay,
You might try creating a little bit of heat here.
And then bringing your hands to either side of the face and just breathing here.
Noticing the feel of your own touch.
Soothing,
Comforting.
And you might try placing the palms of your hands over your eyes for a moment here if that feels okay and just letting the eyes rest.
Breathing.
Maybe letting out a sigh.
And then lowering the hands and bringing them to either side of your upper arm,
Just giving yourself a bit of a hug,
Stroking the upper arm.
And breathing here.
Just letting your body know it is cared for,
Supported.
And lowering the hands back down,
Finding a comfortable seat.
And you may wish to close your eyes or simply soften the gaze,
Whatever feels most comfortable for you today.
And we're going to bring our awareness to the breath.
Just breathing in through the nose.
Exhaling through the mouth.
One more time,
Breathing in through the nose.
Exhaling through the mouth.
And letting your breathing return to its natural rhythm now.
And just noticing the inhale.
And the exhale.
And perhaps as you breathe in,
You might whisper to yourself right here.
And as you exhale,
Right now.
Breathing in right here.
Breathing out right now.
And just staying with that breath for a few more moments.
And softening the space between your eyebrows now.
Letting the jaw relax.
Softening the shoulder.
And perhaps letting them drop ever so slightly.
Softening the belly.
Letting the hips grow heavy.
Relaxing the legs.
And the feet.
Letting the whole body soften.
And bringing your awareness now to any sounds around you.
Perhaps the temperature.
Noticing the surface beneath you.
Maybe wiggling fingers and toes.
Before slowly opening the eyes back up.
Welcome back.
Thank you so much for practicing with me today and I hope to see you here soon again.
Take care.
