Hello,
My name is Kim DiCarlo.
Welcome and thank you for joining me.
Today I will be leading you through a 10 minute grounding meditation.
Now it usually feels like there's always something to do somewhere to be or someone to be for someone else.
So taking the time to honor ourselves,
Our bodies,
Our minds,
By regrounding.
So let's get on with this experiential journey together.
Sit back comfortably on the ground in whichever way you choose.
Maybe on your hips,
On a cushion,
In Shavasana.
Maybe in a chair with your feet firmly planted on the ground.
Arrive here in this moment.
Hands come down lightly to our knees,
Palms face down as we recycle the energy that we already have within us.
If you feel comfortable,
Gently close your eyes.
Roll your shoulders up towards your ears,
Down your back.
Deep exhale through your mouth to let it all go.
Lungs empty as we close our mouths.
Inhaling through our nose.
Filling our lungs deeply down to our bellies with air.
Exhale.
Remembering everything we need is already right here within us.
Inhale constrict your throat,
Introduce that oceanic breathing.
Deepen that breath.
Exhale.
The wave of breath rolls out through your nose.
We'll take two more breaths together.
Inhale all the way through your belly.
Exhale,
Empty the lungs.
Inhale as the tide pulls the water back to sea.
Exhale as the waves expand over the sand.
Keeping your eyes closed,
You wake up noticing what's around you.
In front of you,
There is light sand with a blanket laid out just for you.
The sides of your mouth turn up in a blissful smile as you step out onto the white sand.
The soles of your feet dig deeply into the fine soft beach below as you walk out towards that blanket.
With each step you take,
You connect more with the land below you,
Breathing in the air around you as your toes feel the warm sand.
Your next inhale is filled with the aroma of salty air,
A warm day full of radiant sunlight.
You can feel the sun as it touches your cheeks and you are grateful to be here in this moment.
You sit down comfortably on a blanket,
Taking up just as room as you need and you look around,
Surrounded.
You belong here.
Maybe a bird flies by calling out in the distance or a thought pops into your head.
You acknowledge every fleeting message or visual,
Honoring it and sending it on its way.
You feel the sand underneath your body,
Closing your eyes to the beach.
You notice the ebb and flow of the waves as it matches your breath.
Back and forth.
Inhale and exhale.
Your breath and the waves become one with each other.
Inhale,
Filling your lungs as your belly expands.
Exhale,
Let it all go.
Inhale,
The tide pulls the water back into the ocean.
Exhale,
Waves expand across the sandy beach.
You continue your breath as you sit here in your body,
Belonging here at peace in a place full of warmth in this moment.
Knowing that you belong here on this blanket,
Resting and restoring.
Inhale the rest of the world falls into the background.
You deserve this space,
This clarity.
Inhale sitting deeper into the sand,
Your body lengthens.
You are calm.
You are present in this moment.
In your next inhale,
Feeling the sun's rays on your cheeks,
Soaking it in in gratitude.
Deep exhale,
Letting all the air out of your lungs.
You continue to breathe here,
Grounding into the calm serenity,
The ebb and flow of the waves.
On the next breath we will take it together.
Inhale,
Drawing in the present moment of mindfulness and gratitude.
Slowly filling those lungs,
We hold it at the top for three,
Two,
One.
Exhaling slowly,
Letting all the air from every corner of your lungs.
Continue your breath as slowly you open your eyes and come back to the present moment where you sit with your hands,
Palms down and know that you can revisit this place at any time.
Thank you so much for joining me.
My name is Kim DiCarlo.
I hope you have a wonderful day.
Goodbye.
