What if there was one spiritual practice for beginners and advanced meditators alike? One practice that could bring incredible healing to our world, To our lives. One practice to remove heaviness and allow us to feel completely free. One practice that anyone could experience of any path, Spiritual, Religious, Secular. What would this one practice be? Today we'll be exploring spiritual meditation for beginners. However, This practice is the same for beginners and the most advanced, The first lesson is the last. We're going to explore a simple yet essential practice that creates all good things in life. Beautiful. So let's start with a few wonderful deep breaths together. Just breathing in very gently. And breathing out nice long deep breath. And again, Breathing in. And just letting it all go. And as you breathe, Let's just be open, Be open to higher consciousness. I'm going to ask you some very beautiful questions. Are you willing to awaken and experience freedom? Are you willing to have your life go well? Are you willing to experience a profound shift in consciousness? And if you are, Let's have a nice big smile. And dive into this beautiful topic today. So what is this one practice that can shift everything? Another question is why is the world in such a mess considering that we are amazing beings, Human beings aren't we really? We can do all sorts of remarkable things, Build things, Create things. We can do such wonderful art and beauty and we can do all sorts of very elevated things. So why is there so much mess, So much confusion, So much negativity, So much divisiveness? What is really going on here? What is the cause of all this? Let's start with a story to uncover perhaps one of the real deeper causes. Once upon a time there was a world completely different from our own. A world of eternal light and endless peace. Like a most beautiful sunset that never ends. Tons and trillions of late years, Vast lights. And everyone in this light was completely peaceful and content. Everyone had a deep, Deep feeling of love and belonging and safety. They were a happy family of stars, Beautiful stars. Everyone looked like a shining star and you couldn't tell the difference between one or the other except for the slight difference in the shine and the sparkle of the light. Then one day after an infinite space of time, An inspired group decided to go on an adventure away from this world of silence. They wondered what was outside of this infinite light. So they went on a journey and they flew fast, Faster than the speed of light until they found a perfect place for them to explore. It was a vast planet with lights and sounds and colours and trees and beauty. What a wonderful place. But since these beings were non-physical, They needed some sort of vehicle, Some sort of costume to interact with this strange planet. And they found the perfect thing, A biological spacesuit where they could move around, They could talk to each other, They could dance and sing and build things. And it was amazing. What a wonderful experience. And they started enjoying themselves and connecting with everything, Exploring the world, All the while knowing deep in their soul that they are completely free, That they are travellers, That this is a temporary place where they are always guests, Knowing that they are completely safe. But as more and more travellers came and as more and more time went on, They started to fall into a deep sleep. They were awake, But they started spiritually forgetting where they came from and what life was all about. They started identifying people, Not with the being, The real being from the home, But with the costume. Some felt they were better than others if they had a bigger costume or a different costume or something special about how they looked physically. Then they split into tribes and started to fight with each other. They lost the awareness of who they were and they lost the love they had for each other. And as time went on, Things went from bad to worse, Building weapons to destroy the entire planet. Then one day the wisest of all beings from the home came down and started to remind the stars to wake up, To wake up, To wake up. And this being said, You souls are embodiments of peace. The original religion of all you souls is peace. You came here from the land of peace and then came into this movie of life. You received those physical organs of the body in order to play your parts. Souls don't become larger or smaller. It is bodies that become larger or smaller. But you, You are a point of light. Consider yourself to be a body less soul and embodiment of peace. And so it was. And when I personally first discovered this sacred message, I remember many, Many years ago now, I was very confused, Very lost, Wasn't sure who I was. But someone told me that you're not this body, You're not limited by your appearance, You're not your age, You're not your gender, You're not your cultural programming or status in the world or class or race. You're a spiritual being. And I remember finding this information to be really rather profound because I was a very confused person. And as I started to practice this, I remember one day sitting on the floor in my room and I had had this information. I was told about being this being of light. And one day I was sitting there on the bare wood floor and all of a sudden it really hit me that it's not just a theory that I really am this powerful light shining behind the eyes like an infinite star. And I remember cracking up, Laughing out loud in my room and my housemates probably thought something strange was going on. They didn't know what was going on. But the thing is when these things drop down deep enough, It is a radical shift in consciousness of complete relief, Complete, It's almost like waking up from a nightmare and realizing, Thank God, It was only a dream. And so this is the shift we want to help you experience today, The magic and wonders. Because when we think we're this body, Which unfortunately most souls do, It has created all this negativity, Limitation, Identity crisis, Different tribal groups, People bickering and fighting, There's no love. So it's our wonderful opportunity to support you in experiencing this now. As you are following the story, You are probably having an experience as well. And right now let's just take a moment to fully focus your vision inside on the light behind your eyes. Turn your vision inwards and see, Feel the light of the soul, The presence, The being that you are. Feel yourself as this star of peace, Radiating light, Freedom, That you are shining peace, Shines and shines forever of peace. Allow the thought to emerge, I am light, I am peace, Peace, Peace and light. See and feel this light that you are. Aware in your heart, Peace is mine, I am peace. And relax into your eternal spiritual presence, Shining being from beyond, Loving, Peaceful, Pure and allow the vibrations of yourself, The soul to overflow into your body and into the world. Feel yourself as this unlimited fountain of peace, All emanating from that point of consciousness that you are resting behind your eyes. So there are two different consciousness states that we can have. One is the body identity, Where we identify our sense of me, Our sense of self with this physical body. And what happens when we do that, We immediately experience insecurity on some level because the body is going to die, The body is getting older, The body can be a certain way, Can be pretty, Not pretty, Or young or old or this or that, And all the trappings are connected with the body. If you to analyse why are there so many problems, They are in one way or another connected to the identity of the body. So we have a wonderful opportunity to wake up from this very unpleasant state of consciousness that causes huge problems, Not only in the world in general, But it happens in our own life on a daily, Regular basis. All the anxiety or the stress or the negativity or the ego, The judgementalism, It all stems from this body conscious awareness. So the alternative is to become aware that I am a guest, I am a being of light, Non-physical light, Non-gender, No gender, No gender, We're not male or female, We're just beings of shining peace, Shining light. And you can imagine this very clearly in meditation what we do, We use our minds, We use our visualisation and we use our feelings, That's what we use. We all have all of these things. So first of all just visualise a shining light, Like a star, We've all seen the beautiful stars in the sky at night time. Imagine a star, A tiny little star came down to earth, That image of a little tiny star. And this shining star is smiling. Imagine this star has a very very big smile and it is constantly smiling and nothing can ever stop it smiling. And nothing can ever make it sad. It's always happy, Always relaxed, Always smiling, Always blissful, And always awake, Awake and aware. So just take a moment just to imagine and constantly awake blissful shining light. What would it be like if you had a friend who was continuously blissful, Shining and free, Who spent time with you every day floating around? Imagine this being floats around every day, Always smiling, Always relaxed. I remember when I was in England many years ago, I heard about all these things, But I wasn't necessarily experiencing it 100% of the time. And I remember going for a walk one day in this wonderful park. And I very distinctly remember I came to the edge of the park, This huge park near the river, And I turned into this row of houses, There's a little path in front of these houses, And just as I stepped onto this path, I had this flash that there was this shining light at the back of my brain inside my head that was constantly smiling. And I realized that I'd been ignoring this blissful light for a long time. And that blissful light is me. I was ignoring myself. This is a shocking realization. And we have to have the consciousness that it's time to wake up. It's time to wake up. Last night actually, I was sharing this with Ariel, I had a very strange dream last night and I think it's connected to this podcast, This session today, Because in my dream I was with a couple of my old friends back in England and they were both unconscious, Lying on the ground, Looking like they were dead. And I was very worried about them and everyone else was worried. They collapsed and appeared dead. And I was trying to think, What can I do to help them out? I mean, Are they dead? Can I help revive them? What's going on? I was very worried. Then I realized that I needed, The only thing that was going to work was to go right up close next to them, Up to their face and say to them, Wake up, Wake up, Wake up, Wake up. And then the eyes opened and they came back to life. Isn't that amazing? Came back to life. This is what we're doing with you today. And this is what we all have to do for ourselves every day. Wake up, Wake up, That we are this powerful, Blissful being. We're not just this little thing here, This body. And we can experience that sense of complete freedom. So a lot of people know theoretically that they're a spiritual being, But it's time to practice waking up again and again and again. This can be done thousands and thousands and thousands of times. This consciousness is a radical shift in awareness. If we have any anxiety or stress, Then we're not experiencing our true self. Any negative feeling about other people, About ourselves, It's not our true self. This is a negative state. Our original self is the light. So what we can do is we can use our mind, Our awareness, And our focusing power just to come back to this again and again with so much love, So much compassion. It's like waking up and falling back to sleep, And then waking up and then falling back to sleep again and again. And the interesting thing is you don't even have to think that this is me. You can just imagine a blissful light and you'll feel better. Imagine there's someone who's very happy, A happy person who's blissful, Relaxed. If you see someone who's happy and relaxed, You'll feel better just by looking at them. If you're driving around and you see someone smiling, It makes you feel better. If we see somebody who is upset and distressed and in pain, It actually causes us pain looking at them. There are mirror neurons in our brain, So when we see things, We respond to them. So all we have to do is see and feel this endless light. This is your higher self. Everyone has a higher self and your higher self is already perfect, Is already complete, Has already attained everything, And doesn't need anything, And it's all wonderful. And we can come back to this again and again and again. So the key thing, The practice for us all, And I've been doing this 20 something years now, And this is my main practice, And I have to come back to it every single day because the world we live in does not talk about this. How often do you hear people talking about this? Everyone talks about all the problems and all these things and all these so-called solutions, But no one really thinks about the real solutions. You hardly ever hear about it. Even in spiritual gatherings, You hardly ever hear about it. So this is for us to practice and we can experience this in a number of different ways. One little practice you can do is to journal. This is a very good practice, Is to get out your journal and to remind you that I am a soul and so and so is a soul. Like for example, I would write down, I am a soul and RL is a soul. And we have a rabbit. Mr. Rabbit is a soul as well, Right? Different soul, There's still soul. And then all the people I know, They're all soul and can keep going, Keep going, Right? Because we have to remind ourselves of these things, We have to grind it in. Grind it in until it becomes a different awareness. It actually removes all of our problems. RL and I get on very well most of the time, Don't we RL? Most of the time, Not all the time though, But nearly all the time. And if I'm ever not getting along, As soon as I'm aware, This is a powerful soul right here. That this is a powerful being of light. This is my friend from beyond. This is an immortal presence right here. Then I haven't got a problem with anything RL's doing. Do you know what I mean? Everything's fine. But if I forget that, Then I can have some ego or some issues or some sort of funny business. So you can write down in your journal, I am a soul, You know, My friends are soul, My partners are soul. You can write all the people again and again and again and again, For pages and pages and pages until you've come up with everyone you can think of. And it purifies our awareness. So the UPS delivery guy is a soul. Do you know what I mean? The FedEx guy is a soul. The USPS guy is a soul. Do you know what I mean? The person at the health food store is a soul, You know, And you write it all down. And you realize these are all beings of light. This just purifies our consciousness. So that's a wonderful journaling practice that you can do. Just see how it goes. All these things are awakening experiments. They're experiments in consciousness. Try it out. See what happens. Hmm. It's a beautiful practice. It can bring a lot of joy when we're out and about in the world, An ordinary trip out to the grocery store or to pick something up or to see someone turns into a magical adventure. Sometimes Michael and I like to practice blessing walks where the whole focus of being out. We did this recently in Telluride, Telluride, Such a beautiful place and it can be quite busy. There's a lot of people and restaurants and shops and there's so much going on. And if you deepen into this higher state of consciousness, That's like tuning in to what's going on underneath all of the activity and noise and you feel there are all these shining beings of light around you. You will start to feel very, Very joyful. And I think people do pick up on it. I remember we went into a place and this woman felt it. She was, We, We didn't tell her anything about ourselves or say anything that would indicate a spiritual practice. But I remember as we're leaving, She said, Om Namah Shivaya. And I said, Did you say Om Namah Shivaya? So there was the feeling, The feeling of spiritual family and connection and divinity. And in ordinary situations, We can transform any ordinary scene into this divine glorious revelation scene of spiritual beauty. It all depends on our inner practice and state. And I love doing this with the animals. I love the animals. Every bunny I see, Every horse, Every deer, Every coyote, Every bird and hummingbird, They are also beings there. They are also souls. They are also immortal living consciousness. And so it becomes very special. Life can become very magical. Oftentimes the inner child is looking for magic in the world. And sometimes this can take people in strange and sometimes unhealthy directions trying to find magic. But the magic is in the ordinary world. It's here, It's now, It's in every moment of being awake to life. So it's such a beautiful thing. Yeah. So in practice, The key thing is to really say, I'm going to practice this. Let me practice. Let me not just think about this theoretically. Let me actually experience these things. Experience it. So I imagine almost everyone, If not everyone listening to this, If we ask them a question, Are you a spiritual being? They would all say yes. Yeah. So that's the theory. So congratulations. That's a big deal in itself. The next step is to actually ground that in, Deepen that awareness and become spiritually awake, Soul conscious. Be aware that you are a guest, That you're a being from beyond, Being of late. And to really visualize and feel and see and experience this body less presence, Non-physical, Powerful energy, Those filled with bliss, Filled with peace, Filled with love, Filled with contentment, Completely safe, No fear. And you can say to yourself, You can feel the vibrations and you can say to yourself, I am the light. I am a spiritual being. I am a being of infinite peace. I am infinite light. I am non-physical and eternal. I am a tiny shining soul. And I'm sitting in the center of the forehead, Sending vibrations of peace. And you can practice this again and again. And you'll know because you'll start to laugh. It really tickles you on the inside in a deep way. It becomes quite amusing when we experience that. So what's going to happen if someone practices this? Well, I think you will feel tickled with joy and love in your heart. I think it's a very healing practice. It's healing for yourself, The soul. It's healing for your mind. It's healing for your heart. It's healing for your body. This practice will improve your relationships because you will be sending beautiful vibrations through your mind and your heart to the souls in your life. You're offering them a gift by seeing them as an immortal being. Powerful practice. It will help you to have good pafna, Good feelings for your life and allow you to move away from or transform negativity more easily, More quickly. Because you'll be able to come back to that place of truth, Of putting things into perspective of what really matters, Of what's true on the highest level and then act from that place. It will help you to avoid getting caught up in negative situations, Drama, All the ways we can get ourselves into a mess. It will help you to avoid that and feel at home in yourself and in your life. So I could go on and on. You'll feel a deep sense of peace, Probably slightly amused and light about life rather than really stressed and heavy. You'll feel a sense of security in yourself and you'll be able to see behind the physical appearance of others into their true essence.
