Hello and thank you for joining me in this Saturn Return meditation.
My name is Ashley and I'll be guiding you through the practice today.
I am a certified meditation teacher and astrologer,
So I designed this meditation to be a wellness tool for reflection during this period,
This very intense transit in your life.
This practice will guide you to honor the current journey that you are on during your Saturn Return,
Whether it's your first one,
Your second one,
Or even your third one.
This practice will include positive envisioning and also attune the body to the energy of Saturn,
To really embody and feel the lessons that Saturn can bring.
So for this meditation,
I invite you to begin in a nice easy seat or comfortable meditation position.
If you are in a seat,
You may sit cross-legged,
Comfortably in a chair,
On your knees,
Or maybe even in a recliner.
You also have the option to lie down for this meditation,
Whatever serves you as long as you don't fall asleep.
Whichever position that you choose,
Allow yourself to settle in and get comfortable,
Closing the eyes if you haven't already,
Keeping the spine nice and long,
Stretching the tailbone down,
And lifting the crown of the head up.
Then begin to soften your body by softening the eyebrows,
Unhinging the jaw,
Removing the tongue from the roof of your mouth and softening it inside your mouth,
Relaxing the shoulders,
Allowing them to melt away from the ears,
And then settling the rest of the body.
Maybe you release the palms,
Soften the legs,
The hips,
And really just allow your body to fully relax in this meditation.
And taking a moment to find your breath,
Using it as an anchor to bring you into the practice,
Leaving the outside world behind.
On your next inhale,
Begin to breathe in deeply through the nose,
Allow the breath to travel down your throat,
Down your chest,
And fill up the belly.
And exhaling,
Sighing it out the mouth,
Feel the belly deflate.
We'll take two more breaths to just anchor into our practice today.
Deep inhale through the nose,
Exhale it out the mouth.
One final inhale through the nose,
Open mouth exhale to release.
And then begin to invite an ujjayi pranayama,
Or constricted breath on the inhale.
So in ujjayi pranayama,
You're going to seal the lips,
Inhale through the nose and hold the breath at the back of the throat.
Then on the exhale,
Keeping the lips sealed,
Begin to push the air out of your nostrils.
Allow the breath to constrict at the back of the throat on the inhale,
And expand the back of the throat on the exhale.
Just like how Saturn invites us to constrict through the rings,
Creating structure and discipline,
This ujjayi pranayama will build the inner heat,
Will build the inner discipline to focus our mind,
Body and spirit fully into this practice.
Take a few more ujjayi breaths,
Constricting the back of the throat,
Almost holding Saturn's energy at the back of your throat.
And exhaling out your nose as well.
Take just one more ujjayi breath,
Feeling your exhale out the nose,
Create this expansion in your body.
And then release the breath,
Gently come back to your natural rhythm of breathing.
Now we'll move into a small somatic practice,
A practice to feel into the body with a hug,
A self hug.
So begin to wrap your arms around your shoulders,
Just giving yourself a little hug here.
You can tuck the chin into the chest if that feels safe to you.
Feeling the breath wrap around you,
Just like you feel the warmth of your arms,
Just giving yourself a little hug,
Holding yourself through this time in your life.
Imagining your arms around your body,
Just like the rings around Saturn,
Providing safety,
Protection,
Structure.
Just feel into your capacity to protect yourself through all the highs and lows of life.
We'll stay here in this hug for just three more breaths.
Allow the breath to wrap around your aura,
Allow your arms to soften as they wrap around your body.
Maybe you feel the beating of your heart,
Supported by the protection of your arms.
Then at the end of that third and last breath,
Slowly release the hands and rest them wherever feels comfortable.
And then we'll begin to deepen our connection to the body with a tense and release practice.
So when I call out a part of your body,
I'll cue you to take a deep inhale and constrict,
Create tension,
Tighten that part of your body.
And then on my cue,
I will exhale you to release,
Starting by exhaling all the stale air from your body.
Begin to inhale,
Clenching the palms into fists,
Squeeze the arms in towards your body,
Tighten tense,
Make really angry fists,
And then exhale,
Release the palms,
Soften the arms by your side.
On your next inhale,
Shrug the shoulders up to the ears,
Squeeze it all in,
Constrict the face,
Make a little funny face as if all parts of your face are gathering in towards your nose,
Towards the center.
Squeeze,
Squeeze,
Squeeze,
Deep inhale,
And exhale,
Release,
Drop the shoulders,
Relax the face,
Feel the forehead spread across,
Allow the cheeks to soften.
On your next inhale,
Squeeze the glutes,
Hug the legs in tight,
Curl the toes in,
Squeeze your whole lower body in,
In,
In,
Take a deep inhale,
Create a lot of tension here,
Just like how Saturn creates tension,
And exhale to release,
Imagining Saturn's rings expanding out,
Rippling out your body.
Begin to soften your whole body,
Removing any tension,
Taking a few slow,
Deep,
Natural breaths.
Begin to repeat the following mantras to yourself.
You can say them out loud or repeat them in your mind.
Repeat to yourself,
I am open to learning the lessons of Saturn.
Even though life may feel unstable,
It won't always be this way.
I embrace change and trust that I am stepping into this next higher evolution of who I am on this path.
Allow these words to echo and resonate through your entire being.
Take stock of the present developments in your life,
Honoring whatever is happening right at this exact moment.
Just reflect for a moment on how you feel and where you are at in the four major areas of life.
Take a moment to reflect on family.
Now honor where you are at in your career.
Take inventory of how you feel about your home or where you live.
Now begin to honor where you are at in your relationships.
Romantic,
Friendships,
And any other meaningful connections in your life right now.
Reflect on all four of these major areas of your life and just have gratitude that you are alive to experience this unique time in your life.
Next,
Take a moment to honor any feelings of instability or uncertainty right now.
Recognize how there is magic in the possibility of what could unfold.
In the space of the unknown,
The truth is that the paths are endless.
Now begin to surrender to the natural unfolding of life by opening your palms up to the sky and softening your body.
Surrender to any inner urges or nudges to make big leaps and changes in your life.
Know that just because it feels different,
It may be considered radical from how it was previously in your life.
Doesn't mean that it needs to be scary.
Surrender to the best thing that could happen if you go for this big leap.
Now begin to envision how you want to feel at the end of your Saturn return.
About two and a half to three years from now.
See that date in your mind.
Whatever today's date is plus three years.
On this day three years from now,
Who are you?
How do you move through the world?
What is fulfilling you each day?
Who do you surround yourself with?
In what ways are you stronger and more resilient?
There's no need to force any clear answer.
Just acknowledge how you want to feel three years from now.
We'll begin to close this practice by giving ourselves another self-love hug.
This time bringing the opposite arm on top from the beginning of practice.
You can tuck the chin into chest if that feels good.
Just feel Saturn's embrace through the warmth of your arms.
Trust that the universe only provides you with what you can handle.
Life doesn't bring you anything that you are not capable of handling.
Through the embrace of your arms,
Feel the strength of your own support.
Trusting that you've got this.
Begin to reawaken by releasing your arms around you.
Wiggling fingers and toes,
Finding a little bit of movement in the body.
Feel free to stay here in deep reflection for as long as you'd like.
But if you are ready to come back,
You can gently blink the eyes open and take on this next step in your Saturn return.
Thank you so much for joining me in this practice.
Www.
Mooji.
