Welcome to your Leo full moon ritual meditation.
Leo is a fixed fire sign with the persistent flame that creative expression and authenticity thrives on.
Leo is no stranger to being witnessed as their boldest,
Most unique selves.
This full moon is an especially potent time to reflect on what you were going through or journaling about back in August 16th 2023 when the new moon was in Leo.
What has come to the surface since then around your personality,
Character,
Or even how you express yourself.
With this full moon we'll be empowered to stand proud in the support of the moon spotlight and honor our lion-heartedness as we release any obstacles blocking our creative expression.
So with that come into your ritual meditation space,
Lighting any candles you have,
Tidying up your space,
Bringing forth your crystals to re-energize them with the full moon light.
Once you've set the scene for your space come into a nice tall easy seat or any other meditation position you can get comfortable in.
Lower the gaze or close down the eyes.
Allow the tailbone to ground you into the earth as the crown of your head reaches for the sky.
Unclench the muscles in your face and allow the shoulders to drop.
Welcome in a nice few deep breaths,
Clearing out the day behind you,
The month behind you.
Then we'll start with Nadi Shodhana or alternate nostril breathing.
Start by bringing your pointer finger and your middle finger to your third eye chakra between the eyebrows.
Having the thumb and ring finger accessible we'll close each nostril and breathe out the other.
So start by letting all the air out both nostrils.
Using your thumb plug your right nostril,
Inhale through the left.
Using your ring finger close the left and exhale out the right.
Inhale through the right,
Close with your thumb,
Exhale out the left.
Inhale on the left,
Close with your ring finger and exhale out the right nostril.
Continue with this pattern breathing in through one nostril and exhaling out the other.
With each exhale release stress and the mind.
With each inhale what can you bring in?
Allow this breath to unify both sides of you,
Your left and your right,
Your feminine and your masculine.
Sinking deeper into yourself to honor your fullest expression.
Take one last breath on each side.
Finish by exhaling the air out of your left nostril and release the hands and breathe through both nostrils.
Noticing if there is a dominant more open nostril now that you've cultivated this awareness between each side.
Now begin to connect with your heart space.
It might help to breathe towards the heart or place both palms over your heart,
Feeling your heartbeat.
Honor and recognize the way your heart expresses itself.
Now begin to see yourself in your fullest expression.
What does that feel like?
Like a butterfly stretching its wings.
See your authenticity expand through each fingertip.
Standing outstretched and proud,
Perched on the tallest mountaintop.
Celebrate who you are and how far you've come.
Celebrate this person that your inner child looks up to.
Begin to open up to some intuitive knowledge and reflect.
How have you changed in the past six months since August 16th 2023?
What aspects of your personality have stepped into the spotlight?
Recognize if you have been holding back any creative expression.
Why have you been holding back?
Where are you holding back?
Once you've recognized what's been holding you back,
Allow the breath to gently release any of these blockages.
Using the breath to create motion,
To move through these difficulties rather than keeping them in.
Envision the moon full,
Bright,
And complete.
Shining proudly in the night sky.
See the purifying white light break down any barriers on your creative expression.
Let your creativity be set free.
Sit and listen to any inspiration that comes your way as you open up and receive the light of the full moon.
Allow the luminous white light of the full moon to shine behind you,
Supporting and amplifying your inner light,
Casting its renewing light against you.
Feel it travel through your back,
Into the heart space,
And out the front radiating from the heart.
Let your unique light radiate far and wide.
Thank the moon for her nourishing light and for allowing you to harness her lunar energy to strengthen a sense of yourself.
Become inundated with gratitude as you feel supported in your daily authentic expression.
Bring your breath in alignment with your awareness.
Deepen the breath by breathing into the physical borders in the space you take up.
Make small gentle movements in the extremities of your body,
Your arms,
Fingers,
Legs,
And toes.
Close your meditation ritual by placing your palms on your heart and bowing down in gratitude.
Gently flutter the eyes open and journal on any insights or on the following prompt.
