We live life one moment at a time. So too stress is lived in moments and can also be removed, one at a time. Through breath and acceptance we can learn to release stress and truly enjoy the moments of life.

One stress less.

A meditation of freedom.

Some days never end.

Even long after they're over,

They seem to return.

Let us breathe through this day.

Let us release all those things that we can release.

Even one stress less can set us free.

Some days there is no breath.

The heart is closed.

The lungs are tight.

The breath is small and short.

And the heart hurts.

Every piece of information that we hear is processed one way or another.

One way to inform and one way to increase the pressure of consciousness.

If only we could live without the stress of information,

Without the numbers that lock the mind down into equations of fear.

At the end of the day,

Where is the fear?

Most likely,

It is stored somewhere in the innocent memory of that day.

Breathe.

Breathe with me and lengthen your breath by exhaling to the end of your breath.

And then inhale.

Life lengthened.

Life restored.

One moment with one less stress.

Life is not a static experience of time.

Sometimes life moves very fast and sometimes unbearably slow.

But when we understand the power of one long breath and release whatever binds us,

Whatever holds our rib cage like a powder keg,

The fuse is put out.

The disappointment is muffled.

The anger subsides.

The frustration turns to tears.

The confusion of too much information is cast aside on one long breath,

One hot tear.

One hairline fracture in the heart.

Only,

If only,

For one less stress,

We may begin to feel life itself return.

Return from the dead,

Of all those places sleeping.

Unpleasant sleep.

Awakening to true awareness,

Acceptance,

Peace with the world around us and peace with the world within.

That does not mean I do not care or do not get involved or do not seek solutions and pray with all my being.

But when the work is done and the day has come home,

Perhaps we can count one less stress,

One less pain,

One problem solved,

One new heart,

One clear eye gazing upon all,

Calling us to our freedom within.
