The third eye chakra is also called the ajna chakra, meaning “perceiving” or “command.” It plays a role in helping you develop your inner and outer vision, your intuition – that inner voice that quietly advises you – and other “psychic” abilities. It is the sixth chakra in the body. It’s responsible for your “wisdom quotient” – that deep well of inner knowing that you can learn to tap into, allowing you to better navigate this life.

This is Avery Lane and your Third Eye Chakra Meditation.

As you begin this practice,

Make sure you don't disrupt yourself or allow for any disruption around you.

You may sit in a chair with your feet flat on the floor,

On a cushion,

Or lying down.

Wherever you may be comfortable,

Just be sure that the position you find yourself in,

You can maintain long enough for this entire meditation.

And be kind to yourself if you find that you need to shift,

Do so with mindfulness and calm.

When you meditate,

It's okay to have thoughts.

They will come and go.

Welcome them as they should be.

And don't just drain them.

Don't try too hard.

Just bring gentle,

Non-judgmental attention back to this meditation when you find yourself starting to drift.

And most importantly,

Let go of any expectations you may have.

Let yourself settle into this practice to benefit from the time of calm and silence.

Once you begin this meditation,

Try and stick through it until the end.

When you're ready,

Close your eyes,

Soften your face,

And drop your drop.

Bringing your awareness to your breath,

Notice the natural rise and fall of the chest,

The natural rhythm of your breathing,

And sit with your breath for just a few moments.

If you find your thoughts are wandering,

Gently come back to the third eye chakra meditation.

Thoughts are okay.

Let them come and let them go.

Now take two or three deep yawns.

You can fake yawn until one of them comes.

And bringing your attention back to your breath,

Notice the natural rhythm of your breathing.

Breathing in deeply first into your belly and then into your chest.

And inhale as much as you can.

And slowly begin to release the air starting with your chest and then your belly.

Do this for two more breaths.

Breathing in deeply first into your belly and then into your chest.

And slowly begin to release the air from your chest into your belly.

And one last time,

Taking that deep breath in to your belly,

Filling it all the way up into your chest.

And exhale,

Releasing from your chest all the way down to your belly.

Moving into the space and bringing your attention and awareness between your eyebrows.

This is where your third eye chakra center is located.

Begin to see a tiny indigo blue light spinning.

And as you see this light,

Know that it is connected to your inner wisdom,

Intuition and connectedness with the universe.

And on your next inhale,

Grow this light surrounding your head.

Breathing out,

Allowing it to expand and occupy the space around your body.

And continue to breathe in and out.

Put this blue indigo light in and all around you for the next several breaths.

Notice as you're breathing in and you're breathing out,

Expanding it,

You see it radiate throughout your entire energy field,

Throughout the space that you're in,

The room,

The house,

The location and see it radiate further and further.

And as you notice it radiating,

So does your wisdom.

Your wisdom grows,

Your connection to yourself and those around you increase.

And you feel your judgment of others diminish and be replaced by understanding,

Compassion and love.

Through this indigo light,

You feel your sense of intuition become stronger and clearer.

Your ability to seek and find truth grows with the balancing of this energy center.

And as you breathe,

The deep blue light still surrounds you.

All the areas in and around your forehead are infused with this blue beautiful indigo light.

Each breath you take is filled with wisdom,

Intuition,

Love and each breath you exhale is filled with understanding,

Compassion and love.

You may begin to repeat the following affirmations silently or aloud after I speak them.

As they follow,

I listen to and follow my intuition.

I understand my purpose.

I have a deep inner wisdom.

I am connected to my inner self.

I feel connected to all other beings and to the universe.

I see truth.

I am creative and see the beauty and the world around me.

I am my truest self.

I feel revitalized.

I feel love and connection to others.

Spend a couple more minutes in silence as you continue to keep this healing light energized.

As you breathe,

The ribbons of this beautiful light weave in and around your forehead and the space around you infusing everything with connection and truth.

Keeping your eyes closed or capped near the end of this meditation,

It's important to come out of this meditation slowly,

Bringing your awareness back to your breath,

Allowing yourself to feel the in and out rhythms of the rise and the fall of the breath.

And on your next inhale,

Allow the fingers and the toes to wiggle if you wish,

Gently shifting your arms and legs.

And when you're ready,

Open your eyes with a soft downward gaze,

Keeping your focus inward.

And when you're ready,

You may open fully and return to your day.

And when you're ready,

Open your eyes with a soft downward gaze.

And when you're ready,

Open your eyes with a soft downward gaze.

And when you're ready,

Open your eyes with a soft downward gaze.

And when you're ready,

Open your eyes with a soft downward gaze.

And when you're ready,

Open your eyes with a soft downward gaze.

And when you're ready,

Open your eyes with a soft downward gaze.

And when you're ready,

Open your eyes with a soft downward gaze.

And when you're ready,

Open your eyes with a soft downward gaze.

And when you're ready,

Open your eyes with a soft downward gaze.
