Welcome to your Inner Sanctuary Meditation.
During this time we will co-create a sanctuary or sacred space of peace.
Let's begin.
Take a deep inhale and exhale.
Let's deepen that.
Take a longer inhale and hold.
And now exhale completely.
Once more,
Deep inhalation and exhale.
With your eyes closed and a feeling of interconnectedness,
You start to visualize a beautiful day.
And there is a feeling in the body,
In the mind,
And in your spirit that you're in the right place at the right time.
On this beautiful day you notice there's a path in front of you and you look down at your feet because you want to walk forward.
As you're looking down at your feet,
You feel grateful that you're able to explore this beautiful day and you're curious about the path in front of you.
As you look up,
You see a beautiful gate in front of you.
The gate seems to magically open as an offering,
As an invitation.
You accept this invitation by walking through the gate.
As you do,
You enter into a magical space,
A sanctuary made only for you.
And it's sacred.
You have just entered into your own inner secret garden.
Within your garden lies a beautiful landscape full of trees with a running water brook,
Rocks to sit on and lush grass.
You get the feeling that you've been here before and your spirit is happy.
As you move through the garden,
You see different areas that bring you peace.
You walk past a meadow of flowers.
You walk past more trees.
You hear the birds.
You smell the fragrance of the flowers.
The water is speaking to you.
It calls you to find some rest near it.
You see yourself laying down near the water while letting the sun hit your face while the fragrance of the flowers fill your lungs.
The sun brings you warmth and fills every cell of your body with light.
You envision the light pouring from the top of your head all the way through your heart,
Into your belly,
All the way through to your feet,
Bringing your life energy and peace.
You take another deep inhale and you exhale.
Once more inhaling,
Connecting into peace and exhaling.
Inhaling into gratitude and exhaling.
As you're laying with the sun radiating over you,
Feeling so warm,
Feeling so magical,
You are grateful that you responded to your own inner curiosity to explore this path to find your peace within your own inner sanctuary.
You begin to pull the light back up from the feet,
Up through the body,
Back into the belly,
Resting it into the heart for a while,
Warming the heart even more,
Back up through the crown of the head,
Filling yourself with that beautiful light,
Letting it wash over you,
Feeling at peace and feeling content.
Inhale deeply,
Exhale completely.
Now that you've found your inner sanctuary,
You know you can come back and feel at peace and spend time within this golden light at any time you wish.
Lifting your arms overhead,
You extend your fingers all the way up over the head behind you.
You extend your toes in the opposite direction,
Stretching yourself,
Feeling content with yourself.
And you know it's time to return,
Leaving your sacred sanctuary,
Knowing that you can return back at any point that you wish.
You stretch your body once more,
Enjoying the light,
Taking it with you now,
Taking it with you into standing.
And you return right back to the path,
Going through the gate,
Feeling at peace,
Feeling content and feeling very thankful.
As we walk through the gate,
We are feeling very grateful for what we received.
We offer one more acknowledgement of gratitude for the experience of the inner sanctuary.
We offer up gratitude for the ability to rest and to be at peace.
You look down at your feet once more and gently open your eyes.
