Welcome to a pick a card reading from the oracle deck.
It's called the everyday mindfulness oracle.
So before we get into it,
Just take some time to ground and perhaps just coming to a seated shape or just taking this pause,
Maybe taking a couple deep breaths and just shuffling the deck here.
And as you're starting to take this time to connect and to just be present,
Seeing if you can start to think about whether out loud or just in your mind,
How can I be more mindful today?
Just allowing that question to linger in your mind.
And maybe you close your eyes as if asking the cards.
And from here,
I'm going to pick three cards and just give you some time to sort of pick an energy that feels most like where you're being led to.
So I have card number one.
So just taking a pause and seeing if that feels like your card or maybe you're being drawn to the number one and then picking card number two.
So as I bring my hands to that card,
Seeing if that is perhaps your mindful practice for today,
Maybe you resonate with the number two or being pulled towards that.
And then finally,
Card number three,
Taking a moment to just see if that is your card,
If you're being drawn to the number three today.
And if you're being pulled to multiple cards,
You'll be able to listen to all three.
So this is card number one,
If you pick that.
And it is card number 17,
Vocalize,
Sigh,
Hum,
Sing,
Rhyme,
Or speak up to express yourself.
Speak your truth,
Needs,
Desires,
And boundaries while also being open to listen to others.
So out of those suggestions,
Is there a way that you can use your voice today?
Maybe there is a conversation that you need to have in terms of using your voice,
Or perhaps you're someone who uses your voice a lot.
And maybe this is a reminder for you to,
You know,
Listen and not listen to wait for that gap for you to speak,
But to truly listen to maybe what someone is saying.
Even when we just use our voice with just humming,
Feeling that resonance through our throat,
Through our jaw,
But how can you vocalize today and really speak your truth?
So if there's something that you need to share,
If something you need to say or share with the world,
This is your validation to do that.
So that was card number one.
Card number two is card 20,
It's move.
Practice a movement modality,
Observe the sensation of push,
Pull,
And release in various parts of your body and how you feel overall.
So this could be perhaps going to the gym,
It could be practicing something such as Pilates or yoga or whatever that chosen modality is.
And as you move through it,
As you're feeling,
You know,
Your limbs moving or you're feeling that sensation of heaviness,
Seeing if you can really be present with that and almost kind of slow it down as if you're going through slow motion,
See if you can pick up on those points of presence.
So move is your prompt for today.
Card three,
So if you chose three,
It is number 13,
Listen.
Symphonies are all around you if you just listen,
Observe each instrument and the evolution of every sound from silence to a powerful crescendo.
So even as I've been recording today,
There have been a lot of these extra sounds that maybe aren't as,
You know,
We don't notice them as much,
But when you're recording,
They definitely become a part of the soundscape,
Whether you want them to be or not.
But there are so many things,
For example,
Nature that we can listen to the sounds of birds and just kind of taking a pause instead of being annoyed by the sound,
Seeing if you can just observe them and just listen to the ways in which they,
Maybe they change or maybe the ways that they stay the same,
Are there predictabilities about it?
But yeah,
Even listening to a song,
So maybe thinking of the song in terms of layers and maybe listening to the slowest beat and then kind of working up the layers,
Noticing maybe the faster beats or perhaps noticing instruments being used or sounds that maybe you might not have noticed in songs.
So this is your invitation to listen deeply.
Thanks for being open to a mindful practice today,
Whether it may be just one resonated with you or maybe two or all three,
I'm encouraging you to practice something mindful today.
