Welcome to the Favourite Things Meditation,

Where I will guide you through a special,

Perfect moment in your day to bring about feelings of calm and relaxation.

This can be helpful if you are feeling overwhelmed or anxious.

Let's begin.

Find a comfortable position,

Whatever this looks like to you.

You may be sitting or lying down.

You can tune into your breath.

Focus on how your breath feels in your chest and in your stomach.

Take a few moments to be with your breath.

Now,

I want you to imagine your favourite scent.

Really focus on how this scent smells.

Imagine the smell entering your nostrils and you getting to enjoy this wonderful scent.

Now,

Imagine your favourite sound.

Something that you always love to hear.

Imagine hearing this sound enter your ears,

Soothing you,

And bringing you comfort and joy.

Now,

Think about your favourite thing to taste.

Picture this on your tongue.

This delicious taste that you love.

Think of something you love to feel.

Imagine rubbing this between your hands or feeling it with your feet.

Really dig into how the sensation feels and the enjoyment of this.

And finally,

Think of your favourite sight.

Your absolute favourite thing to see.

Imagine yourself in this moment staring at this beautiful thing and marvelling in that beauty.

And then bring all these sensations together.

You're looking at your favourite sight as you're feeling or sitting on your favourite sensation.

The smell of your favourite thing is in the air around you.

Imagine you have your favourite thing to taste right in front of you.

And you get to enjoy it all together,

All of these sensations.

Take a few moments here in all of these wonders.

Imagining all of your favourite things together.

And this is something that you can come back to whenever you need a special moment of relaxation,

Of gratitude,

Of joy.

You can always picture these favourite things in your life and you getting to enjoy them.
