Welcome to this meditation that is a letter to the mind,
The body,
And the soul.
I invite you to find a comfortable form.
You can do this meditation sitting,
Standing,
Lying down,
Or even going for a walk.
Let's begin.
I invite you to take a deep nourishing breath in through the nose,
Breathing deep into the belly.
And as you exhale out through the mouth,
Relax the body.
Again,
Taking a nice deep nourishing breath in,
And a deep replenishing breath out.
Dear mind,
Thank you for gifting me with the wisdom to know what is best for myself.
I know there are times that I can falter in my belief in you.
There are times when I can let anxious thoughts and depressive moods take over,
But you are always here for me.
You are always reminding me that I have the intellect,
The space,
The wisdom to carry myself throughout this life.
You have gifted me with the passions that I hold so dearly to my heart,
With the beliefs in myself and in the world that make me feel good enough.
Thank you,
Mind,
For all that you do for me.
Dear body,
You continue to provide me with strength and courage and movement even through the times where I did not believe you were good enough.
The times I have looked at you and thought you were less than perfect,
Where I have been mad at you and felt like you have failed me.
I have been wrong.
All you have ever wanted to do is keep me safe,
Keep me nourished,
Keep me held and protected.
All you have ever wanted for me is to feel alive,
To feel joy in every moment,
In every sensation and in everything that you provide me.
I am sorry for ever thinking that you could not hold me.
You are my most precious gift.
Dear soul,
You know my true authenticity.
You are with me in everything that I do.
Every time I scale away from what I want,
What I believe to be right and just and true and what I desire,
You allow me to come back with grace.
You do not let the weight of the world hold you back and take you down.
You do not let society's expectations fold you.
You are the little voice deep inside,
The little spark that always speaks out and says,
Wait,
Is this true for you?
Thank you for being my guiding light in all that I do.
Come back to this moment.
Breathe into your mind,
Your body and your soul.
Sit with gratitude for all that they do for you.
Notice the world around you,
The sights,
The sounds,
The smells.
Breathe here into this life.
Sit here and enjoy this moment for as long as you would like.
