This meditation is a reminder that all parts of you are lovable. It invites you to tune into yourself, to the parts of you that you tend to hide in the shadows and allow them to be seen with loving acceptance.

Transcript

Today I welcome you to connect and come home to yourself.

Find a comfortable form to be in.

This could be sitting with your back supported,

Lying down,

Going for a walk.

Choose whatever feels best for your body today.

Inhale,

Soften.

Relax the muscles around your eyes and your mouth.

Relax your jaw.

Move the shoulders away from the ears.

Breathe in.

Breathe out.

Tune into your surroundings.

Perhaps notice the sounds in the room,

The sensations of your body against whatever surface you are on.

Breathe in.

Maybe noticing the air entering your lungs.

Breathe out.

Maybe noticing the air exit your body.

At any point throughout this meditation,

If you feel overwhelmed,

You can always come back to the breath.

I invite you to tune into yourself,

To the parts of you that you have been left unseen.

The parts that weather alone in the cold,

Dark,

Forgotten landscape of your heart.

The ones that knock gently in your mind saying,

I want to be seen.

You whisper,

Afraid that if they call too hard,

They'll be pushed away,

Back into the darkness.

What is it about these parts that they don't get to come up to the surface?

Is it fear of judgment?

Fear of rejection?

Fear of ridicule or abandonment?

Instead,

Perhaps these parts feel this from you.

They stay lost in the cobwebs of your soul,

Hearing your voice,

Keeping them small.

What if you let them come home?

If you let them thrive in the garden of your mind?

If you gave them space to peer their heads out,

The safety to take a step forward into the light?

These parts in your shadows are just as much a part of you as your light.

These parts that you think are wrong,

Are selfish,

Are unlovable.

What if you tended to them as your home?

Watered them?

Listened to them?

Held them?

Invited them in with love and compassion?

My beautiful friend,

The shadows of your soul can be sparkles,

Like the new dew on grass,

A fresh start,

If you let them.

Inhale,

Feel the soft whispers of those shadows.

Exhale the fear.

You are enough.

You deserve to feel at home with all of you.

Relax the jaw,

The face,

The body.

Inhale,

Bringing light to these lost and broken parts.

Exhale the resentment.

Inhale.

Exhale.

Come home to yourself.
