Hey there everybody!
So today what I would like to talk about is letting go of the old and accepting the new.
So when we are born into this world we learn from the people around us and we take on specific patterns and behaviors and values and different ideas of what we think it means to be successful,
What it means to do good,
Or what matters in life,
All these different things.
At each stage of our life we have different motivations for what we want to have,
What we want to get,
What we're looking for,
And eventually we come to a point where we outgrow our old beliefs,
Our old patterns,
Our old behaviors,
Because it doesn't suit where we are right now.
And there are a lot of new beliefs and different things that we can do to change and to move forward.
And what I want to say is that we don't have to be hard on ourselves about this because letting go of the old and inviting in the new,
That takes time.
And when I say that it takes time,
The way that I think about it is what's old is familiar,
It's what we know,
We know exactly what we're going to get,
We know what needs that we have that we're trying to get met,
And we do what it takes to get those needs met where we're at.
And after a while we start to be unhappy with the way that we've done things,
Let's say for the last 10 years or so,
You know,
For example,
In your life.
And so when we make changes and do something entirely different that's not familiar,
It can be unsettling and scary and it can also be liberating and freeing and finding out more who we are.
So once we start to make these new decisions that are improving our life,
That suit where we are right now,
When we make those decisions we start to feel more freedom,
Mental freedom,
Mental,
Physical,
Spiritual,
Emotional freedom.
We start to feel more freedom in one way or another in our life and we start to feel good from this.
And when we make those choices,
I believe that that's self-fulfillment.
And when we make the choices towards our self-fulfillment and we know that that is eternal and it's not temporary,
Then that starts to feel really good and we want to keep moving forward in the direction of our self-love,
Self-care,
Self-fulfillment,
And we realize that we just find more of who we are and more happiness and freedom comes with that.
I think that when we hold on to the old,
We aren't allowing ourselves to know more about ourselves and know why we're making the decisions that we're making and things like that,
That when we move into love and self-love and self-care,
We start to fill ourself up with self-fulfillment.
So what I've come to understand is that in time we need to be able to support an internal foundation on the inside and that internal foundation supports self-love,
Self-acceptance,
Self-care,
Validation,
Approval,
Security,
Protection,
Trust.
All these things need to be able to be internal and self-fulfillment is always going to be there.
You're only going to have yourself at the end of the day.
So when you invest in yourself to have these needs met and you're not investing in a person,
Place,
Or situation,
That you know that you're making the right choices for yourself because we have to have a stable foundation so we can live more life in our life,
Have more life back to our life when we have that foundation.
So I believe that each of our experiences are going to show us where we've been placing,
Say,
You know,
Self worth or love or security,
Protection.
Once we realize in our experiences that we were placing that somewhere else,
Then we realize how to love ourselves more and how to come back to ourself for self-fulfillment.
So each of these experiences,
It's just helping us break our own barriers that we did to keep ourselves safe in one way or another.
And once we break through these barriers,
We understand that we just get to trust ourselves more and love ourselves more and that is self-fulfilling.
And then we just start to change our lives just like that and then there's no fear anymore.
There's no,
You know,
It's just going straight for it and loving ourselves the whole way through no matter how heartbreaking it is,
You know.
And some of this stuff is really hard and we just have to take time and space to process and have our own balance no matter what that looks like,
You know.
So it's important that we just make the right decisions for us because we're all we're gonna have at the end of the day in our health,
You know.
So I know that I have to do what it takes to be healthy because this life is the only thing that I have and I know that my mind,
My body,
And my soul needs support fully and I accept the entirety of my existence,
All the light,
All the dark.
I honor and respect all of who I am and how I got here today.
And anyway,
This is just something that I wanted to share today about letting go of the old and accepting the new and I just wanted to say that,
You know,
We take as much time as we need and that's exactly how it's supposed to be.
Our experiences aren't supposed to be any different.
We'll see what we need to see when we need to see it and that's the right timing,
You know,
For each person.
So anyway,
I just want to send that encouragement and support out there today and thank you guys so much.
