Hello and welcome to your receiving audio practice.

So you will begin this practice laying down,

Ideally on the floor,

On a mat,

On something that allows you to be able to do a little bit of movement,

And then we'll eventually be transitioning to standing.

So finding a place to lay down,

And I'll really invite you to feel this practice as an opportunity to simply practice the art of receiving.

So feeling it as an art allows us to have a more natural,

Organic unfolding of it.

Some curiosity,

Some grace around practicing receiving.

So laying on your back,

Bringing your feet to the floor,

Your knees pointed to the ceiling.

They can be knocked together,

They can be as wide as you want.

Just beginning to bring the breath into the belly,

Softening the belly.

It might feel good to let out some sound on the exhale.

Just starting to feel yourself breathing,

Feel yourself being held by the earth underneath you.

Feeling the air on your exposed skin.

Feeling that breath in the belly.

And consciously choosing to set down what came before and what will come after and really meeting yourself right here,

Right now.

Laying on your back and breathing,

Held by the earth and feeling the breath,

Feeling the earth holding you.

Starting to tune into those physical sensations in the body.

When we contact our physical sensations,

We're directly contacting life,

How we feel and experience life in this system,

In this body.

So noticing what you can connect to,

Temperature,

Movement,

Texture,

Pressure,

Tingles.

Just feeling what is here in the body as you breathe,

As you let your body be held by the earth.

And for a few minutes,

You're just going to allow the body to lead.

So you're going to let some organic movement happen,

Letting your breath really be a guide.

Maybe allowing the legs to gently fall from side to side,

Perhaps rolling on the ground,

Even moving to hands and knees.

If anything was welcome,

Really trusting where the body wants to lead you.

Feeling the breath,

Letting out sound,

Ahhh,

And following the impulses from the body.

Allowing your system to naturally start to open up in the way that it wants to.

Starting to breathe,

To move,

To sound,

To follow the impulses,

Letting the body lead.

Remembering that anything is welcome,

There is full permission here.

And taking a few more moments here to move,

To breathe,

To sound,

To let the body lead in this opening,

In this meeting yourself and life right here,

Right now.

And then starting to let the movement slow down,

Finding some stillness again,

And tuning back in to those physical sensations,

To what is alive in your body now.

And now you're going to gently make your way to standing,

Taking your time,

And starting to really feel and find your feet,

Maybe rocking side to side,

Maybe squeezing your toes,

Looking down at your feet,

But really letting yourself land,

When we find our feet we know where we are.

So feel where you are,

This moment,

This moment,

The only moment where something new and different can occur.

Feeling your feet,

Perhaps even saying aloud,

I am here.

In order to receive,

We have to be here.

So feeling what it's like to be you and to be here,

Right now,

As a body.

So we're just going to explore opening up the system and receiving.

So bringing in some curiosity,

Allowing yourself to not know,

You don't have to work hard to get it right,

You don't have to focus on receiving,

We're just going to explore the body.

So first you're going to bring your awareness to your spine,

And you're going to feel if you can inhabit the length of your spine.

So without forcing yourself to be taller than you are,

And without slumping down,

Feeling what it's like to really inhabit the actual length,

Exploring honor and dignity in your spine as you breathe.

Just noticing what happens in the system when you connect to that,

When you inhabit your spine,

When you feel dignity and explore honor in that back body.

Feeling the length,

Feeling the breath,

Then beginning to explore suppleness in the body.

So with this dignity in the spine,

With this structure that is holding you,

Seeing if you can soften the areas that don't need to hold.

Softening your hands,

Softening your heart space,

Your chest,

Your jaw,

Your face,

Your eyes,

Softening the belly,

Softening the pelvic floor,

Softening the knees.

Feeling what this is like to have length,

Strength,

Dignity and honor in the spine,

And suppleness in the body.

Continuing to breathe.

Then you're going to gently rest the tongue,

The whole of the tongue,

Gently against the roof of the mouth.

So ever so gently resting the tongue on the roof of the mouth,

Softening the jaw,

Letting the lips part,

Opening your eyes if they're not open,

Softening the eyes back into the head.

Feeling the length of the spine,

The suppleness in the belly,

The chest,

The arms,

The hands,

And breathing.

And with the breath,

Practicing receiving on the inhale.

And on the exhale,

You're just offering,

You're giving,

You're connecting to your belonging,

You're contributing to this life.

So opening up the body to receive the inhale.

Perhaps the breath can go a little bit wider or a little deeper or a little more full into parts that perhaps before it couldn't.

Just exploring this,

This openness in the system with suppleness in the body and this receiving of the inhale.

And as you hold all of this,

Beginning to be present to what is here around you,

Letting yourself really see,

To look around your space,

To feel what it's like to be connected to the things in your space,

To the air around you,

To the life that is right here,

Right now.

And we'll add one more layer here.

So feeling your feet,

Feeling the length and dignity in your spine,

The suppleness in your face,

Your chest,

Your hands,

Your belly,

Your pelvis,

Feeling the breath,

Receiving the inhale,

Contributing on the exhale,

Seeing your space,

And now also bringing in that connection to the sacredness of all of this,

Feeling how this breath is sacred,

Choosing to let this moment be sacred,

Seeing the environment,

The life that is here as sacred,

And feeling this body,

This 40 plus trillion cells that make up you,

That will never be organized like this again,

Ever.

Feeling you as sacred,

As divine,

Holding all of this,

Without trying,

Without efforting,

See if you can relax into the dignity in the spine,

Open to the breath,

Soften into the suppleness,

And allow the sacredness to meet you,

Receiving life just as it is,

And for a few last breaths,

Feeling it all,

The mystery,

The magic,

The sacredness of you,

Of life,

Breathing it all in,

Receiving the life that is right here,

Right now,

For you.

Doing anything else that would allow this practice to feel complete for now,

Maybe bringing hands to the body,

Maybe speaking aloud,

Maybe movement,

Touch,

Sound,

And taking one last full,

Wide,

Deep breath into life,

And this completes your practice.
