Many blessings and welcome to this guided meditation on Psalm 23.
The Lord is my shepherd.
This meditation is helpful if you are feeling the desire to experience God's protection,
Guidance and that you are led and held.
Let's begin by taking a few breaths to relax and calm the nervous system.
Breathing in and on each exhale,
Relaxing your shoulders more,
Relaxing your neck and your chest and your belly.
Your hips and your legs and your feet,
Allowing yourself to come into a more softened and relaxed state of being just for this time to meditate and pray and receive the light of the Good Shepherd.
Beginning to bring your attention inside.
Away from the noise of the outside world.
Even away from the noise within your own mind.
Coming to find.
A deeper stillness.
Underneath the noise.
Coming to rest.
Into a deeper silence.
In your heart.
It is said that coming into this place of quiet of the heart,
Is the beginning of prayer.
In this place.
We can truly listen and hear and feel.
As you settle in.
Aware of the silence and from this backdrop of stillness.
Bringing the thought,
The awareness.
The Lord is my shepherd.
They shall not want.
And resting into this awareness.
Into the presence of God.
As the one who completely sees you,
Cares for you.
And is taking care of you.
Aware that he guides you along still waters.
And green pastures.
And protects you.
And in the stillness of heart.
Praying that you may know this ever more deeply and feel this.
At the core of your being.
And that this awareness may flow forth.
Moment to moment of your life.
The Lord is my Shepherd.
And in this place,
There is no fear.
No worries.
Where you are at last.
You are looked after.
And you can rest into the presence of God.
And I love that.
Is timeless is eternal.
Is all-encompassing.
Completely surrounding you.
Filling you.
And that this love is sustenance.
And that even if all of our wants on this earth may not be fulfilled,
Satisfied?
The deepest yearning of our soul,
Of our spirit,
Of our heart.
Overflows.
With love with belonging.
With safety.
Security.
In the spiritual presence of God.
Taking a few more moments to rest in this awareness.
You might allow to come to mind any things you've been wanting for.
And just place them in his hands.
Trusting him and knowing.
That you are taken care of.
And every good thing will be and come in time and in the way.
That is truly best for you.
Sometimes we cannot see this and it may not seem to be.
But from the higher perspective.
Seeing through true eyes.
We can trust that God knows and loves us.
The Lord is my shepherd.
I shall not want.
And as you settle into this awareness.
Now and even as this meditation ends.
Allowing yourself to feel.
The peace that comes.
A peace that surpasses this world,
A peace that passes all understanding.
And as you go into your day or evening bring this peace.
Remember the stillness of heart.
And the blanket of comfort.
That the Lord is my shepherd.
And may God bless and keep you always.
Oceans and oceans of love.
