Many blessings and welcome to this guided meditation on healing shame.
This meditation is here for you,
Whether it's shame or guilt or heartbreak or grief.
Whatever deep feeling you are having in your heart and your being,
This meditation is here for you to hold you and to support you in moving through this.
Let's begin by relaxing together,
Taking a few breaths and letting yourself soften and melt away tension on each exhale.
And as you breathe,
Coming into the awareness of this present moment,
Feeling the ground beneath you,
Hearing my voice,
Noticing the rise and fall of your breath.
And just for this time,
Allowing yourself to be held here in this space.
And allowing any and all of the feelings arising for you to be here.
We don't need to run from them,
Escape them,
Disassociate from them,
Bypass them.
It's just breathing and being here with the feelings,
Knowing that this is a safe and held space to be and to feel.
With each breath,
With each moment,
Seeing if you can allow more of the feeling to be here.
In a sense,
We allow our hearts to break.
We allow our hearts to break open,
Open to grace,
Open to healing,
Open to light.
And so it's ok to allow your heart to break.
And if there are tears,
Allow tears,
If you need to move,
Move.
Whatever arises,
Allowing it to just be here and ok.
And it's as though there is a part of yourself that is able to stay in touch with a deep sense of love and compassion.
There's a part of yourself that is able to hold you with love and understanding and compassion.
Notice this part of yourself and in the way that you would comfort a loved one,
A dear friend,
Allow that same energy to be present here and now for yourself.
What would you say to this dear friend?
Would you hug your dear friend?
Would you hold your dear friend?
And just energetically bringing that energy upon yourself,
Upon the child within you,
Upon the part of you that is hurting.
And let it be ok for that part of yourself to be here and to be seen and to be felt and to be heard,
To be known,
Holding yourself,
Loving yourself,
Letting it be ok.
Sometimes we think that when these feelings arise,
We can't really let them up because they might swallow us,
We might be overwhelmed,
But we can see right now that it's ok,
This can come up,
This can arise,
I'm loved,
I'm held,
I'm safe.
And as we allow it to arise,
We allow ourselves to feel,
We create space,
We create a spaciousness that allows this energy to arise and to move and ultimately to clear.
And we may have many layers,
But that's ok,
In the way that we love a dear friend,
We can give that love and that patience,
That compassion,
That respect to ourselves.
And whatever thoughts may arise while you are in this space,
This meditation,
This feeling,
You may experiment with simply offering them back to the divine,
That you take this whole burden off of your shoulders,
This burden of feeling,
This burden of doubt,
This burden of judgement perhaps,
And you just let it all go and turn it all back to God,
Back to the divine.
And like a weight is lifted from your shoulders,
You can just let go,
You don't have to hold anything,
You can simply be held in a space of love no matter what you're going through.
And as you sit and as you allow,
You may even find over time,
That energy of shame,
Of hurt,
Of heartbreak begins to soften,
You don't have to hold it,
You can allow it and feel it and release it,
Turn it over,
It's not yours to carry anymore,
It's not yours to carry anymore,
You can let go,
You are held in arms of love,
And in each and every moment,
Each one of us is always doing the very best we can in each moment,
And we can breathe into the peace of that knowing,
Our journeys teach us,
We learn,
We grow,
Even things that may seem like a mistake,
Contain a great blessing,
A great treasure of wisdom and learning within themselves,
And as we make space for this awareness,
As we make space to feel,
We can allow the shifts and the healing and the clearing to occur,
So that we emerge lighter,
More whole,
At peace,
And trusting in our divine connection.
Taking a few more breaths,
And bringing your attention also into the room as we slowly and gently start to come out of this meditation together,
Continuing to allow yourself to relax and release and clear and let go,
Even as this meditation ends,
And to know you are held,
You are safe,
You are loved.

This healing energy goes out and touches us all.

And on your exhale,
