Welcome everyone to this mountain meditation visualization.

This practice is intended to help you relax by connecting to the enduring quality of a mountain.

So when you're ready,

I invite you to find a comfortable position.

This can be either standing,

Sitting,

Or even lying down.

Whatever you choose,

Select a posture that is most comfortable for you today and for your body.

And when you're settled,

Let's start by first letting the breath be just as it is.

Just allowing it to flow easily and naturally.

And as you get comfortable,

Let an image form in your mind's eye of the most magnificent mountain you know.

Feel into the qualities of your mountain.

Notice its solid presence,

Its lofty peak reaching high into the sky,

Its unmoving nature.

How does it feel to hold this dignity,

This resolve?

You're both touching the sky and you are rooted.

Breathing in,

You feel alive and vital.

Breathing out,

You are unwavering,

Centered,

And present.

Now begin to observe your mountain through the seasons.

In the springtime,

Gentle winds caress your slopes.

There may be wildflowers blooming all around you.

Yet you remain unchanged,

Serene.

Now picture the season of summer.

The heat returns.

There may even be climbers walking along your paths.

But through it all,

You are steady.

Breathing in,

You are calm.

Breathing out,

You are one with the earth.

Next,

Begin to observe your mountain in autumn.

The forests are turning golden orange.

There may be leaves dancing and falling all around you.

The winds are becoming cooler and more insistent.

Yet you do not bend.

Breathing in,

Endurance and vitality.

Breathing out,

You are completely relaxed in your solidity.

And lastly,

Picture your mountain during the cold of winter.

The peaks may be turning into snow and ice.

There may be storms raging around you.

The winds howl and the snow swirls.

But you remain.

Breathing in,

You are patient and unbroken.

Breathing out,

You are present and you are rooted.

And as we close out and come to the end of this practice,

Continue to feel into the embodiment of the mountain.

Notice how through it all,

Or any change that may be occurring in each moment,

You,

Like the mountain,

Are always enduring.

Breathing in,

You are complete and resilient.

Breathing out,

You are enough just as you are.

Grateful for the strength that you have.

Grateful for the strength that you embody.

And when you're ready,

You can slowly begin to bring your awareness back into the room.

Maybe give yourself a light stretch.

And gently open your eyes.
