Take a moment to connect with your baby. A relaxation track with voice over music, encouraging you to take 5 minutes to focus on just you, your baby and your relationship. If you're feeling stressed or overwhelmed this will help you to slow down for some bonding time.

A guided relaxation for parent and baby.

Find a quiet space for just you and your baby.

Make yourself comfortable.

You can hold your baby on your chest.

If you want to be skin to skin with them,

Then that may help you to relax more.

But if you can't,

Then that's okay.

Once your baby settles,

Gently close your eyes if you feel happy to do so.

And take two or three nice deep breaths.

And with each breath,

Feel your shoulders relax more and more.

Maybe you can breathe in your baby's beautiful scent from the top of their head.

And this helps you to relax even more.

And as you relax,

Feel the weight of your baby's body on your chest.

And now bring your attention to your baby's breathing.

Noticing any little movements or noises that they are making.

Noticing the small rhythmical patterns of their breath.

Deeper and deeper into relaxation.

And now start to imagine a gentle warmness growing inside your body.

Perhaps it has a colour or a glow and it's starting in the area of your heart.

And the same warmness and glow is starting in the heart of your baby.

And now imagine that glow start to flow around your body and into your lungs.

And with each breath,

The glow expands and starts to connect with your baby.

And as you both breathe,

The colour and the warmth is felt by both of you.

Breathe in love.

Breathe out love.

And again and again.

Until you feel the warm glow of love and oxytocin flowing through your body and your baby.

Imagine synchronisation and almost as one.

And as you relax here with your baby,

Be at peace.

And remember the two of you have a unique bond and connection that is not shared by anyone else in the world.

And that whenever you want to connect with your baby at any time,

Even as I grow older,

You can.

You can simply recreate this relaxation and enjoy these intense feelings of love,

Binding attachment and wellbeing at any time.

But in turn,

You are teaching your little one ways in which to relax and connect.

And as you open your eyes,

You may wish to kiss your baby's head or look into their eyes and let them know how deeply and unconditionally they are left.
