To visualize and feel the emotions of what it may be like to live in a peaceful world is a beautiful practice that empowers you to glimpse and be the change.
Your thoughts are powerful.
They create your reality.
When you believe that something is impossible,
Such as achieving world peace,
Then it is impossible.
When your perceptions shift,
Limitless possibilities unfold and peace becomes a reality.
This meditation is a practice to embrace peace both within and without.
Settle into what is a comfortable and restful position for you.
Bring your awareness to your breath.
Notice your inhale.
Notice your exhale.
Notice the space between your inhale and your exhale.
Notice and be with your natural breath.
Remain mindful and conscious of your breath without controlling it in any way.
Stay connected to your breath and envision a peaceful world.
What does a peaceful world sound like?
Do you hear laughter and other sounds of joy?
What is music to your ears?
Hear the birds singing,
Fellow animals communicating in their own languages,
Rivers flowing,
And the wind blowing through trees.
Hear the wonder and awe of life.
Listen deeply.
Hear your inner voice,
Your intuition.
What does a peaceful world feel like?
Feel the sun's warmth,
The rain's soothing touch,
And a cool breeze on a hot day.
Feel the softness of a newborn baby's skin.
Feel safe,
Secure,
And sure of yourself.
Allow the feeling of calm and ease to wash over you.
Feel connected to all that is,
To your body,
Mind,
And spirit.
What does a peaceful world smell like?
Smell budding flowers,
Wild grass,
The aroma of a gentle breeze and clean waters.
Smell the fresh morning dew and the evergreen forest.
Smell the top of a newborn baby's head.
Smell the aroma of a home-cooked meal made with love.
Smell the fragrance of fresh herbs like thyme,
Rosemary,
Basil,
And parsley.
What does a peaceful world taste like?
Taste a summer rainstorm and the salty air from an ocean breeze.
Taste the quietness of a freshly laid blanket of snow as you warm up with a hot cup of tea.
Taste the abundance of delicious fruits,
Vegetables,
Grains,
And foods obtained with joy and love.
Taste mindfully.
Reflect upon where your food comes from and feel thankful for what nature has voluntarily offered to you.
Taste lightness,
Energy,
And clearness of mind.
What does a peaceful world look like?
See the natural world being replenished and forests being replanted.
See wild nature being restored.
See wild creatures returning to their homes.
See your own wildness.
See a world where all beings have enough to eat.
See a world where all people live in gratitude and abundance.
See a world where people are thoughtful,
Kind,
Gentle,
And generous.
See the sameness in all people,
In all beings,
While appreciating the differences and what every individual has to offer.
See yourself in mutually beneficial relationships.
See yourself respecting and having reverence for every living being.
Visualize the world around you.
Imagine how you speak with others,
How you interact with people and fellow animals on a daily basis.
Imagine how you resolve conflicts.
Imagine what you do for work,
For fun,
And for joy.
Feel a deep respect for the intelligence of children and the wisdom of your elders.
Feel a sense of connectedness with the greater earth community,
To humans,
To animals,
To plants,
To all life.
See yourself living in harmony.
See yourself in every being.
See yourself this change in the world and creating peace on earth.
Recognize yourself as someone who embraces a way of living that embodies kindness,
Generosity,
And respect.
