Hello wonderful being,
Thank you for choosing me to be your guide today.
Begin by coming into a comfortable seated posture,
Keeping your spine straight and your body relaxed,
Keeping your head in alignment with the spine and as you settle into this posture,
Know that you can always move your body a little bit to become more comfortable right now or during the meditation.
So allow yourself either to close your eyes completely or alternatively you can keep your eyes open but lower your gaze.
So looking at the floor two or three feet in front of you,
This is just to limit the visual distraction.
So as you are ready to turn your attention inward,
Allow your awareness to rest between the points of contact,
Between your body and the surface beneath you.
So noticing which part of your body is touching the surface beneath you,
As you feel supported by mother earth,
Release the weight of the day,
Release any pressure to speak or to stay silent.
Just be here.
Allow yourself to come into this present moment,
Arriving in the here and now,
Now allow your awareness to rest at the center of your throat,
Right at the base of your neck,
Between the collarbones.
Located here at the center of your throat is the throat chakra.
Also known as Vishuddha chakra.
This energy center governs your ability to express yourself honestly,
To speak and listen with clarity and to live your truth.
When this chakra is blocked,
You may feel unheard or you may fear judgment or perhaps you may struggle to say what you need.
On the other hand,
When this energy center is overactive,
You may speak too much,
Interrupt or dominate conversations out of anxiety or insecurity and when this chakra is balanced,
Then you communicate clearly,
You feel heard and you listen deeply.
Hence,
This meditation is here to help you bring balance and harmony to your throat chakra,
Restoring truth,
Clarity and ease in your communication.
So,
Bring your attention to the base of your throat,
Between your collarbones.
Noticing how does this area feels like.
In a few moments from now,
We are going to recite the seed sound of throat chakra,
Which is HAM.
H A M HAM.
So,
As you are going to breathe in,
Feel the breath reaching your throat and as you exhale,
You can either chant in your mind or out loud the beej mantra,
Which is HAM.
H A M and as you recite or chant,
Keep your awareness on the vibrations caused by the chanting.
Let's begin.
Allowing the vibrations to dissolve any fear of speaking.
Allow the vibrations to create space for truth.
Let's begin.
H A M Feeling the vibrations with each chant.
I'm going to repeat the instructions again.
As you inhale,
Feel the breath reaching your throat and as you exhale,
Chant the mantra HAM either silently or out loud.
And as you chant,
Feel the vibrations within your body.
So,
Let's begin again.
If anything distracts you,
Bring your attention back to the vibrations created by the chant.
As you connect with these vibrations,
Imagine a sphere of blue light,
A sphere of blue light,
Calming and bright.
Imagine the sphere spinning gently at the base of your throat.
With each inhale,
Breathe into this space and with every exhale,
Imagine the light expanding.
Feel this blue light cleansing your voice and unblocking any tension in your throat.
Feel the coolness of the blue light in your throat,
Knowing that it is bringing clarity and calm.
As you imagine this blue light sphere expanding more and more with each breath,
Allow the following words that I'm going to say to sink in.
Sink in deeper into your being and if you feel called to,
You can also repeat them after me.
I speak my truth with clarity and courage.
My voice matters.
I listen with presence and speak with kindness.
I express myself freely and authentically.
Now,
As these words sink deeper,
Notice the area around your throat,
Noticing how does it feels like and if there is any residual tension in your throat,
Allow yourself to place a hand at the base of your throat,
Feeling your warmth.
If you feel like you can also massage this area or tap gently in this area,
Being there with this part of you and now take a deep breath in into this area and with the exhale,
Let go of any tension or tightness.
Take two more deep breaths like this and when you are ready,
Allow your hand to rest back in your lap or on the knees,
Knowing that you have taken this time to honor your voice and now that you have balanced your chakra,
Set this intention for yourself.
Let your words be kind and allow yourself to express your truth.
When you are ready to come back,
You can start by wiggling your toes and your fingers,
Connecting back with your body and finally allowing your eyes to open,
Connecting back with the environment around you.
Welcome back.
Thank you for listening and I will see you soon.
Bye-bye.
Take care.
