Hello and welcome to today's guided meditation on letting go of FOMO,

Or the fear of missing out.

Let's find a comfortable seated position.

Let your spine be straight and relax into your body,

Feeling the ground or the chair or the bed supporting your weight.

Gently close your eyes and take a deep breath in,

Exhaling slowly.

Let's leave behind all external distractions and emotions and focus in on this present moment.

Let's explore the emotions that arise from the feeling of FOMO.

Allow any feelings of anxiety,

Comparison,

Or fear to come to the forefront of your awareness.

Acknowledge these emotions without judgment and recognize that they are a natural part of being human.

Recognizing that FOMO is often driven by external influences and societal pressures.

Remind yourself that your worth is not defined by the events you attend or the experiences that you participate in and that every experience is just as precious.

Shift your attention to observe these emotions with a sense of compassion and understanding.

Start to scan your body from head to toe,

Continuing to breathe and come back to your breath if you find your mind getting distracted.

Notice any areas of tension and discomfort.

As you breathe,

Allow these areas to soften.

Feel your body becoming more grounded and at ease.

Start to shift your focus to gratitude.

Take a moment and reflect on the abundance of experiences and opportunities that have already enriched your life.

Take a few moments to express gratitude for the experiences you have had,

The connections you've made,

And the joys that have been present in your journey so far.

Return your focus to your breath.

With each inhale,

Breathe in a sense of calm and self-assurance.

With each exhale,

Release any remaining attachment to this fear of missing out,

Allowing it to dissolve and fade away with each and every breath,

Realizing that you can trust in your own path and timing and that you are enough just as you are without the need for external validation of any kind.

Take two more deep breaths,

The deepest breaths that you have taken all day.

With each exhale,

Releasing that last bit of anxiety,

That last bit of stress.

As we come to the end of this meditation,

Carry with you this newfound sense of peace and acceptance with where you are in the present moment.

Take a moment to express gratitude for this time that you've dedicated to yourself.

When you're ready,

Gently open your eyes,

Carry the calmness with you,

And step into the world with your renewed perspective.

I hope you find peace and contentment in every moment,

Knowing that you are always exactly where you need to be.

Namaste.
