Hello and welcome to the mindful reflections meditation here on Insight Timer.
Within this guided meditation I'm going to take you on a journey of self reflection so that you can disconnect from the world around you as you reconnect with the world within you and embrace your soul as an individual.
As we start this meditation what I'd love for you to do is take a deep breath in through your nose and out through your mouth.
In through your nose and out through your mouth.
One final time,
In through your nose and out through your mouth.
And as you begin to relax find that peace and tranquility within you.
Let go of the world around you and slowly connect with the world within you.
Now I'm going to take you on a journey of connecting with nature as you connect with a beautiful,
Still and tranquil river.
Imagine taking a slow and steady walk in nature,
Feeling your feet planted to the ground as you connect with Mother Earth.
Listen to the sounds of the river as it slowly moves by you,
As you walk alongside it.
Feel the connection of the river as you connect with the energy of stillness and the energy of this water and emotion and what it brings to you in this moment.
Notice the stream is slow and steady.
And as you walk beside it you can feel that stillness,
That connectedness,
Hearing the sounds of the river and even smelling the freshness of the air and the water.
You may be even able to hear the sounds of nature as you slowly walk beside the river.
As you feel the earth beneath your feet allow yourself to feel this connectedness.
And as you walk beside the river allow yourself to reflect upon the day that's past or even the week that's past as you allow your mind to wander.
Connect with the waves on the river.
Allow your thoughts to meander as they go in and out.
And you can just relax and feel this peace in this moment,
This stillness and this incredible connectedness of which you feel right now.
Notice for a moment a ledge alongside the river,
One at which you can sit on to reflect,
To let go and find peace.
Allow yourself to walk upon this wooded ledge.
Sit down,
Let go and relax.
As you begin to sit down on the ledge look into the water and as you look into the water you can see your own reflection looking back at you.
You can feel that peace that you find within you and even within your reflection.
Noticing that you can reconnect with this feeling of tranquility and peace within any moment you allow yourself to go there and see your reflection.
Allow yourself to float inside of your reflection as you are becoming a part of your past and your old self.
As you reflect upon an old version of who you were right now.
As you connect with that old version of yourself,
Notice how you feel.
Notice that energy you hold within yourself and as you reflect upon that old version of self,
Notice how far you have come on your journey.
Notice how much you have learned and grown over the years and notice how you are blossoming into this beautiful and amazing soul.
We are also noticing that you can be humble in the journey that you have been on so that you can connect with yourself and others.
So that you can be down to earth as you connect and relate to others on their journey.
As you guide and support others through their pathway in life.
As you reflect upon your old self,
If there are any old memories that come to surface,
I want you to allow yourself to release and let go from them.
Knowing that these memories and thoughts are just experiences from the past.
And you can let go and forgive yourself at this moment in time.
As you reflect upon your old self,
We are going to use the words of Ho-Po-O-Pono in order for you to release and love yourself.
As you reflect upon your old self,
I want you to say these words back to you.
I'm sorry,
Please forgive me,
Thank you,
I love you.
And notice that feeling of unconditional love you bring to yourself as you self reflect.
I'm going to do that again one more time.
I'm sorry,
Please forgive me,
Thank you,
I love you.
It's amazing as you self reflect and you connect with those older versions of yourself that you can let go and release from any past memories or experiences that may have once caused you harm in one way or another.
So that you can release and find that peace and tranquility.
More importantly,
So that you can truly love yourself for who you are.
Now that we've reflected upon an old version of yourself,
I want you to imagine bringing that reflection out of yourself again as you find yourself sat back along that river.
Notice the sounds of that river and notice again that peace and tranquility that you can find within yourself.
Hear that slow and steady river as you hear the waves upon it.
Any thoughts or feelings that come from the past,
Allow them to drift inside of your mind and then slowly release them into the distance as if they've completely gone all together.
Allowing yourself to just be at peace and at one with who you are.
As you sit by the river and become more present in this moment and you slowly listen to the sounds around you,
You may begin to notice and hear the sounds of your soul calling.
As this will guide you in moving forward as you reflect upon your past and bring forth your goals and visions for the future.
Focus again on your breathing.
In through your nose and out of your mouth,
Just allow this stillness to bring you this peace and tranquility that you can reconnect with at any moment in time.
Now what I'd love for you to do is stand up by the river now and slowly take the walk back and journey back home.
As you walk by the river you can still find this peace inside,
Feel connected in this moment and allow your mind to wander as you reflect upon all that's been and gone.
As you embrace this very moment and all that life is yet to bring you.
In a moment I'm going to bring you out of this guided meditation and you're going to bring this peace and tranquility with you so that you can use it for the rest of the day.
So allow yourself to re-emerge and reconnect with your surroundings and bring this energy in to the day ahead.
