Welcome,
I'm Amy Liz Harrison and this meditation is on adopting a spirit of adventure.
I invite you to find a comfortable and quiet place to sit or lie down.
And I invite you to close your eyes and take a deep breath in through your nose and out through your mouth.
So inhale and exhale.
Another time.
Inhale,
Exhale.
Last time,
Inhale and exhale.
You can always come back to your breath at any point in this meditation.
And each time you exhale,
I invite you to release any tension or stress in your body and allow your body right now to just become heavy and relaxed.
So imagine yourself standing at the edge of a vast,
Open landscape.
It could be a lush forest or sandy desert,
A majestic mountain range.
Visualize the colors,
The textures,
And the sounds of this landscape.
Let your imagination bring it to life.
As you stand at the edge of this landscape,
You feel a sense of excitement,
Curiosity,
And sense of wonder bubbling up inside you.
You're about to embark on a new adventure full of possibilities and opportunities.
Embrace this feeling of anticipation and let it fill your heart.
Take a moment to reflect on your attitude toward adventure.
How do you currently view new experiences and challenges?
Are you open to risk taking and stepping outside of your comfort zone?
Or do you tend to stay within familiar territory?
Without judgment,
Observe your current mindset toward adventure.
Now make a conscious decision to adopt a spirit of adventure.
Say to yourself that you're open to new experiences,
Willing to take risks,
And eager to explore the unknown.
Embrace a mindset of curiosity,
Flexibility,
And positivity toward whatever comes your way.
Now imagine yourself sticking your foot out and taking a step toward the landscape,
Stepping right into it,
Symbolizing your willingness to embrace adventure.
And with each step,
Feel yourself becoming more attuned to the present moment,
Fully and totally present,
And fully,
Totally engaged in the experience.
Notice the sensations in your body,
The sounds around you,
The beauty of the environment.
And as you venture further into the landscape,
Encounter different situations and challenges,
Embrace them,
That same spirit of adventure,
Viewing them as opportunities for growth and learning.
Choose to embrace any discomfort or uncertainty with curiosity and an opened mind,
Knowing that you are capable of overcoming challenges and discovering new aspects of yourself.
Allow yourself to fully experience the adventure,
Being present in each moment,
And releasing any need for control or certainty.
Choose to embrace the unknown,
Trust in your own resilience and resourcefulness.
Feel a sense of empowerment and freedom as you explore this new landscape.
And as your journey comes to a close,
Take a moment to just reflect on your experience.
Notice any insights or lessons that you gained along the way.
Notice gratitude for the opportunity to adopt a spirit of adventure and for the experiences that have enriched your life.
Wiggle your fingers and your toes,
Take a deep breath,
Inhale,
Exhale,
And bring your awareness back to the present moment.
Feel the sensations in your body and the rhythm of your breath.
Gently flutter your eyes open and take a moment to appreciate the spirit of adventure that you have cultivated within yourself.
Remember that you have the power to approach life with curiosity,
Flexibility,
Positivity.
Brace new experiences with an open mind and heart.
Remember to be kind to yourself throughout the process.
