This meditation is designed to help you explore the concept of freedom as a fundamental aspect of your recovery journey. Through mindful reflection, this practice encourages you to recognize and celebrate the increasing sense of liberation that comes with sobriety and personal growth. *While I fully support the teachings of Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) and the principles of the 12-step program, please note that these programs do not endorse my personal interpretations. The insights shared in this meditation are my own and should not be considered a substitute for professional or psychological advice. I do not represent AA or any official 12-step authority. In this meditation, you will reflect on the freedoms you gain by embracing your authentic self, allowing for greater emotional resilience and clarity. Embrace this opportunity for self-discovery, aligning with the transformative principles of the 12-step program as you cultivate a life filled with possibilities.

I'm Amy Liz Harrison,

And here's the daily reflection for July 8th,

An ever-growing freedom.

As we come into this space today,

Please join me in three cleansing breaths.

Inhale.

Relax.

Release.

May I be at peace.

Exhale.

Inhale.

Relax.

Release.

May I be at peace.

The Twelve Steps and Twelve Traditions,

Page 76 says,

The seventh step is where we make the change in our attitude which permits us,

With humility as our guide,

To move out from ourselves,

Toward others,

And towards God.

Reflection.

When I finally asked God to remove those things blocking me from Him and the sunlight of the Spirit,

I embarked on a journey more glorious than I ever imagined.

I experienced a freedom from those characteristics that had me wrapped up in myself.

Because of this humbling step,

I feel clean.

I am especially aware of this step because I'm now able to be myself.

I am now able to be useful to God and to my fellows.

I know that He has granted me strength to do His bidding and has prepared me for anyone and anything that comes my way today.

I am truly in His hands,

And I give thanks for the joy that I can be useful today.

And finally,

We pause for a moment of gratitude.

Thank you.

And when you're ready,

Take one final deep breath.

Inhale.

Relax.

Release.

May I be at peace.

And slowly open your eyes.

Thank you for joining me.

Namaste.
