Hello and welcome to the confidence meditation.

Let's begin by finding a confident posture.

Good posture not only helps our meditation,

But also helps us find confidence.

So sit up tall with confident body language.

Placing your feet flat on the floor,

Shoulder width apart.

Lengthening through the torso,

But keeping the spine relaxed.

Open up through the chest and lift the chin slightly.

Allow a smile to grace your face if your body demands it.

Place your hands in ahamkara mudra by gently overlapping the thumbs on the pointer fingers at the knuckle and allowing the rest of the fingers to gracefully splay out,

Mimicking a bird of paradise.

This mudra is responsible for activating our manapura,

Our solar plexus,

Which is the source of our confidence,

Self-esteem,

And self-empowerment.

Practicing this mudra during meditation will open the solar plexus chakra and release any blocks surrounding these areas.

Take a moment to reflect on your posture,

Noticing how it makes you feel.

Adjust any places of discomfort and soften any places you may be holding tension.

Relaxing the muscles of the face,

Releasing the jaw,

Softening the brow,

Begin to focus on the breath.

Slowing down inhales and exhales.

Finding a square breath here.

Inhale to a count of four.

Hold for four.

Exhaling to a count of four.

And holding for four.

Inhale two,

Three,

Four.

Hold two,

Three,

Four.

Exhale two,

Three,

Four.

Hold two,

Three,

Four.

Inhale two,

Three,

Four.

Hold two,

Three,

Four.

Exhale two,

Three,

Four.

Hold two,

Three,

Four.

Continuing like this at your own pace for 3 more rounds.

3 more.

Continuing to breathe here with eyes closed,

Begin to focus inward,

Clearing the mind as best you can.

Focus on nothingness,

Whatever that means to you.

Now ask yourself this,

How do I know that I exist?

Pay attention to how your body responds to this question.

What sensations do you notice?

Where do you feel them?

What thoughts come up for you?

Rather than exploring these sensations and thoughts with judgments and replies,

Simply practice naming them.

This is just a sensation.

That is just a thought.

Continue to check in with your body,

Exploring this nothingness,

And labeling your body's responses for what they are.

Inhale,

Breathe.

Now,

Visualize yourself doing something amazing,

Something you've always dreamt of doing.

See yourself being confident and proud of accomplishing this goal.

If the ego chimes in here,

Surrounding this accomplishment,

Continue to label it as just a thought.

Watch yourself achieving your goal.

What does your body language look like?

How does your face shine?

How do you interact with those around you?

What language do you use with them?

Take the time to imagine yourself doing this amazing thing in great detail.

And notice any negative thoughts that come up while doing so.

Know that this is a natural response for the mind and not necessarily a bad thing.

When the mind shows us obstacles to confidence,

It gives us an opportunity to remove these obstacles.

Continue to label each negative thought or feeling that comes up for you for what they are,

Just thoughts and just feelings,

As you see yourself accomplishing your goal.

When you're ready,

Slowly come back to your body,

To your surroundings.

Begin to find a little movement in the body,

Perhaps starting in the hands or rolling the shoulders.

Blink your eyes open and take a moment to be fully present in this space and time.

Come back to this meditation daily or whenever you need a boost of confidence.

Namaste.
