Hi.
Welcome to your sacred kiss.
I welcome you to find a seat,
Close your eyes,
And simply listen.
Let the words and the sound wash over you,
Sink into your skin,
Your bones,
Your cells,
And the deepest part of your heart.
The conditioned minds are trained to look outside ourselves for validation,
For an understanding of who we are and how we should relate to the world.
It begins as we take form.
We need to be fed,
Cleansed,
And nurtured by others.
We need this for the body to thrive and survive.
As we grow,
This pattern intensifies.
We learn ourselves to be sons or daughters,
Sisters or brothers,
Girls or boys.
We are given names.
We begin to define our personalities by how we perceive how we are perceived.
Do people think we're funny?
Do they think we're smart?
Naughty?
Good?
Others' ideas about us become our ideas about us.
And when we grow into fully conditioned adults,
Our sacred task is to unravel everything we've learned about ourselves through others and experience the truth of who we are.
This is what it means to wake up.
Like a slow rising from a long dream,
We wake to a truth that lives beyond labels,
Beyond form,
Beyond the conditioned mind's understanding.
Most of us have not learned that we are inherently lovable simply for existing.
Instead,
We learn we are lovable when we're funny,
When we achieve,
When we do something to earn it.
We internalize the idea that love is conditional,
And so we place conditions on our own self-love.
This is just another layer of conditioning to bring to the light,
To see,
To acknowledge,
To release.
Another dream to awaken from.
All beings are lovable and loved simply for being who we are in this moment and in every moment.
The release of this conditioning takes effort,
Takes presence,
Takes practice.
There must be steady,
Conscious attention to cultivating emotional and psychological states that contradict the conditioning that you are here to undo.
Stay steady.
Stay aware.
