Hello my dear,
I am so happy that you are here.
While I do not know which divine force has brought you to this meditation,
What I do know and with absolute certainty is that you were meant to be here.
You were meant to hear these words,
Perhaps to heal,
Even just a little bit.
Even if only for just this moment.
At this time in your life,
What you may need the most is to be reassured that everything will be okay.
To be reminded there is still so much goodness and hope in the world.
Reminded that one day you will smile again.
One day you will feel joy again.
And one day in the near future,
You will feel whole again.
And maybe most importantly,
Perhaps you need to find comfort in knowing that you are not alone.
I know that you are here because you are going through a lot right now.
You may be hurting,
Maybe you are scared,
You may be nervous,
Worried,
Stressed or overwhelmed.
I know my dear,
I understand.
I know that at this time you may be feeling like you are swimming in dark,
Deep,
Unchartered waters with no land in sight.
And that is a scary,
Scary place to be.
I know the feeling,
I understand.
I know that in times like this,
Life may seem unforgiving,
Unjust,
Brutal and even cruel.
In such moments of intense pain and hurt,
The thought of hope and inspiration can feel so remote,
So unattainable and sometimes even impossible.
It can feel like happiness isn't real,
That it just does not exist.
These moments make us want to close in,
Shut down and get lost in solitude,
Where darkness and silence wraps us with its enormous wings,
Weighing us down so strongly we are unable to move.
I know my dear,
I understand.
The harsh truth is that these difficult and dark moments are not only inevitable,
They are an essential part of our healing journey.
Taking the time to fully process and genuinely feel the pain is imperative to overcoming a traumatic event in our lives.
If this is where you find yourself,
My friend,
It is exactly where you need to be.
For now.
I am here to remind you,
My dear,
That this too shall pass.
In moments like this,
I like to look at life as a beautiful and complicated mosaic,
A magnificent masterpiece comprised of thousands of glistening fragments that over time create a story so unique it could never be replicated.
And just like a mosaic,
Individually these small,
Sometimes dull,
Sometimes shiny fragments of our lives do not define the final chapter of our story.
Each and every piece of this complex creation is a stepping stone on our path towards our destiny.
These fragments represent all the moments of our lives,
The highs,
The lows,
And all the moments in between.
These fragments,
No matter how big or small,
Dark or light,
Shiny or dull,
Each fragment teaches us a valuable lesson that transforms us into wiser and more resilient versions of ourselves.
The difficult truth is that without the lows,
The highs would not feel as bright.
And while it is difficult to see this truth when we are under this wave of darkness,
It can be reassuring to remind ourselves that the wave will pass and light will shine again.
If not today,
If not tomorrow,
Then maybe next week or perhaps next year.
In these impermanent moments we can find opportunity to grow.
Sometimes through tears and pain,
Sometimes through laughter.
Every challenge,
Every single difficulty allows us to uncover a new layer of strength,
A new level of love,
Kindness,
And vulnerability.
These high and lows of our lives are bypassing tides in the vastness of our human experience.
These deep and real emotions we feel are exactly what makes us who we are.
Deeply loving,
Immensely caring,
And infinitely connected beings.
Sometimes when I am engulfed in a struggle,
I like to use a little mental exercise to help me see things in a slightly different light.
I'd like to share it with you in the hopes that perhaps it can bring you some much needed peace.
Now close your eyes with me and take a deep breath in,
And then exhale it completely.
Continue to breathe just like this.
Imagine that you are standing barefoot on a beautiful and rich ground that makes our planet so bountiful.
As you stand there,
You are feeling the Earth's rejuvenating energy traveling up through your body,
Healing the heart,
Easing the mind on its way.
Envision this energy as a warm,
White light moving through the body.
Now flow with this energy up towards the sky,
And through a bird's eye view,
Begin to see yourself standing there,
Surrounded by luscious green vegetation.
As a free,
Weightless bird,
You ascend higher and higher.
As you zoom out further,
You learn that you are but a tiny being,
As small as an ant.
As you rise,
You relish in the beauty that surrounds you,
The green forests that fill your lungs with fresh,
Rejuvenating oxygen.
You are infatuated with the vast landscapes that surround you for thousands of miles.
You witness the beauty of our Earth from a bird's perspective.
You feel the softness of summer clouds caressing your skin.
The higher you fly,
The lighter the weight of your troubles feel.
You begin to understand that your life,
Your troubles,
Your worries,
And your fears are but a tiny fraction in this beautiful ecosystem we call Earth.
Zoom out further,
Seeing the Earth gently spin beneath your feet.
To your left are stunning constellations.
To your right are clusters of universes with life yet unknown.
You gaze in wonder at the beauty of it all.
You begin to understand that life is so much more vast than you ever imagined.
That in the grand scheme of things,
Your life is like a tiny grain in the sand.
Tiny but yet immeasurable.
So small but simultaneously so vital to the incredible and ingenious energy of our world.
And only when the beauty of the interconnection of all things starts to settle,
You begin the descent.
And as you gently glide back to yourself,
Your worries,
Your troubles,
And your pain feels just a little bit lighter.
You find comfort in knowing that everything in this universe is connected.
And every moment in our life has purpose.
And so my dear may I remind you that these waves of darkness,
While they seem everlasting at the moment,
They too shall pass.
And we as passengers on this journey always have a choice.
A choice to breathe,
Surrender and ride the wave all the way back to the shore.
Or we can resist the tide and let it consume us entirely.
I ask you my friend,
In this moment,
Are you resisting or are you surrendering to the wave?
Surrender my dear.
Surrender so that you can come out on the other end of the wave.
Surrender so that you can once again see the sunshine.
So you can breathe,
Relax and smile again.
Know that even the darkest,
Most painful moments in our lives are here to teach us.
Teach us how to love.
Teach us how to be present.
Teach us to stop sweating the small stuff.
They remind us how much we love the highs and how strong we are during our lows.
They remind us that we are alive.
That our journey here on this planet is temporary.
So while we are here,
Let's make it matter.
Let's make it deep and meaningful.
These dark moments are reminders to make time to play,
To laugh,
To love.
To not take ourselves so seriously.
Let's make each moment precious,
Even the simple mundane ones.
But most importantly,
Let us surrender so that we can one day look back at this fragment of the mosaic of our life.
And with confidence and pride whisper to ourselves,
Look what I've overcome.
My dear friend,
Throughout it all,
Remember you are not alone.
I'm sending you so much love,
Peace and good vibrations.
This too shall pass.
Namaste.
