Welcome to this guided meditation for dry eyes.
Find a comfortable place to sit or lie down.
Allow your body to settle,
Closing your eyes gently if that makes you feel comfortable.
Take a few deep breaths,
Inhaling deeply through your nose and exhaling slowly through your mouth,
Releasing any tension from your body.
Let's begin by bringing your awareness to your breath.
Notice the natural rhythm of your breathing.
Feel the cool air as you inhale and the warmth as you exhale.
With each breath,
Allow yourself to become more present and more relaxed.
Now gently direct your attention to your eyes.
Notice how they feel.
Without judgment,
Simply observe any sensations of dryness,
Tension,
Or discomfort.
Acknowledge these feelings with compassion,
Knowing that your body is communicating with you.
Imagine a soft warm light surrounding your eyes.
This light is gentle and healing,
Like the warmth of the Sun on a cool day.
As you breathe in,
Imagine this light filling your eyes,
Soothing and moisturizing them.
With each exhale,
Release any dryness or tension,
Allowing it to dissipate into the air.
With each breath,
Visualize a gentle wave of cool,
Refreshing moisture washing over your eyes.
Inhale deeply,
Drawing in the cool,
Soothing energy.
As you exhale,
Feel this moisture gently coating the surface of your eyes,
Bringing relief and comfort.
Slowly or aloud,
Repeat the following affirmation.
My eyes are healthy,
Clear,
And vibrant.
They are nourished and protected.
I am grateful for my vision and the ability to see the beauty around me.
Feel the truth of these words as you continue to breathe slowly and deeply.
Now bring your awareness to the muscles around your eyes,
The brow,
The temples,
And the area between your eyes.
As you breathe in,
Imagine these muscles softening and relaxing.
With each exhale,
Release any tension or strain.
Allow these areas to become completely at ease.
Now visualize tiny drops of pure,
Clear water gently hydrating your eyes from within.
See these drops of water being absorbed,
Leaving your eyes feeling refreshed and revitalized.
Imagine your eyes becoming clearer and more comfortable with each passing moment.
Gradually bring your awareness back to your breath.
Take a few moments to feel the calm and comfort that now surrounds your eyes.
When you feel ready,
Slowly open your eyes,
Taking in your surroundings with a fresh,
Clear perspective.
