Begin by letting your hands rest on your knees,

Gently close your eyes,

Notice any subtle sensations in your body,

Feel the temperature of the air against your skin and feel the support of the ground beneath you,

As you inhale deeply and exhale completely,

Now soften your forehead,

Relax your jaw and allow your awareness to gently land on your heart centre,

Feel the gentle rise and fall of your chest with every breath you take,

Now I invite you to bring to mind a moment when you felt really deep gratitude,

It could be from something that happened yesterday or from a long time ago,

Take a moment to step into that memory as if you're reliving it all over again,

What can you see and hear?

How do you feel?

And as you feel this gratitude begin to build in your heart,

Imagine it igniting a tiny sun within your chest,

Beaming a soft warm and golden light,

With every breath feel this sun grow warmer and brighter,

Let the sunbeam spread through your body,

Down your arms to your fingertips,

Through the belly,

Legs all the way down to the tips of your toes,

Energising you from the inside out,

Now feel this light radiating outwards beyond your body,

Filling the space you're in and illuminating everything around you,

As you keep your light shining bright,

Shift your focus to the day ahead,

The story that's about to unfold,

Imagine yourself moving effortlessly through your day,

Every task,

Every conversation,

Every moment flows smoothly,

Feel the gratitude for the ease in which everything aligns,

Now imagine receiving good news today,

Something that lights you up,

It could be something you've been waiting for or a surprise,

See yourself sharing that good news with someone you love,

Hold that feeling of joy as if it's already happened,

Now picture completing a task,

Something that brings you a sense of accomplishment,

Feel the satisfaction of finishing it with focus and flow and that quiet sense of achievement of seeing it through,

Now fast forward and imagine yourself at the very end of your day,

Reflecting on everything that unfolded,

Feel the contentment for knowing the day exceeded your expectations,

All of the unexpected joys,

The accomplishments,

The connection and the small moments of pure presence,

Reminding you of the sacredness of being alive,

As you mentally repeat to yourself,

Thank you for this day,

Take a deep breath in and as you exhale feel all of the intentions and gratitude and light from this practice illuminate your day ahead,

Whenever you're ready,

Open your eyes,

Welcome to your new day.
