Alistair Mac

Alistair is a composer, percussionist, contemporary dance accompanist and S.E.N.D music practitioner. He first discovered the many benefits of meditation when his fiancé, an NHS nurse used breathing techniques to overcome stressful situations at work. This inspired Ali to compose music to accompany his own meditation as well as to accompany the music sessions he leads in classroom and hospital settings. He'd like to share these with you here, and hopes they help you as much as they helped him.

What a, to me, perfect piece for meditation. At first I struggled with, is it in or is it out breath and then just relaxed and let my inhale and exhale just happen, stopped worrying if I was doing it “right” and that’s when the magic happened. I felt every muscle in my body relax and I just went floating away. Even at the end when the “breath” sounds stopped, I continued “hearing” them and stayed with the same rhythm until the last notes faded. Loved it. Thanks for sharing this. 💗🥰🙏🏻
