This is a quick explanation of the difference between Intuition and Anxiety, and the physical markers to tell them apart. These two very different voices/messages can be very hard to tell apart in the moment. Know the difference so you can act on your intuition when it speaks to you.

Hello,

This is Alisha from Wild Moon Sacred Cycles.

I'm here today to talk about intuition versus anxiety.

The difference,

How can we tell the difference between these two when these messages come in,

These gut feelings,

How can we tell the difference between what is aligned with our higher self and what is a physical,

Emotional reaction coming in from an anxiety based place.

So firstly,

Intuition is calm and quiet.

It's accompanied by a relaxed feeling.

It is clear and reasonable,

Pleasant and not stressful.

And as we know,

Anxiety is loud and demanding.

It comes from a place of fear.

It's a reaction to a perceived threat and it's a very emotional response.

When intuition comes in,

It is messages from our higher selves and potentially other places that are sharing with us fleeting messages about how we can be more aligned with our self.

And when these messages come in is when we are in a relaxed,

Calm,

Contentful state,

We're mindful,

We're in the present moment,

We're feeling good and calm and relaxed.

When anxiety comes in,

It's just the complete opposite of this.

And I'm sure as I'm saying this,

You're going,

Oh yes,

Now I can see what is the anxiety.

And so anxiety for me is when I get onto a mental path where I'm thinking about something that I'm scared of,

Not having enough money,

Not having the right career,

Not having the partner that I want,

Not being in life where I think I should be or fearing some kind of repercussion.

And in comes that loud,

Bombarding voice that speaks so quickly,

Saying all the terrible things that could happen,

All the positions that we could potentially be in.

And this is accompanied with the physical symptoms,

The adrenaline rush,

The sweating,

The panic,

And even pain.

It makes you want to run and it makes you feel obsessive.

While intuition is born and heard from the mindful,

Calm,

Induced state of being in a place where we feel safe and comforted.

And we're really truly in the moment,

Allowing the moment to happen.

And so that's the difference between intuition and anxiety and kind of how to tell the difference.

And the whole point of being with our intuition and listening and following our intuition is because it's always right.

It's always giving us the correct information.

Our higher selves,

Our intuition is guiding us towards an aligned life where we feel satisfied and content and mindful and present.

While anxiety is,

You know,

Eventually will bring us to a place where we don't want to leave our homes.

We don't want to go to our workplaces.

We don't want to interact with other people.

And this is not what we want to feed in our lives.

We want to feel safe.

We want to feel good about ourselves,

Good about our lives.

And if we can learn to calm to a point,

Which is not an easy thing to do,

But when we can learn to get to a place where we can calm ourselves and feel safe and feel comforted,

Mindful and in the moment.

That's when we can allow those intuitive messages to come in so that we can then listen,

Follow and be aligned in this life.

The last thing I wanted to touch on is gut feelings.

And so gut feelings are often mixed up with this twisting,

Turning pain that happens in our gut when we are afraid of something or nervous of something.

And so it can really be hard to tell the difference here because sometimes if the gut is twisting and turning before you're about to do something,

Sometimes that does actually mean that you shouldn't be doing it.

Let's say for example,

You're,

You are in a relationship and you've met somebody that you have feelings for and or attracted to and you're going to meet them or you're going to see them or something and you feel that pain in your stomach of twisting and turning.

So that definitely is a sign of anxiety and fear.

But in that case,

It could be correct.

So on another session that I'll do here on Insight,

I'll talk about the head,

Heart,

Gut reaction and how to listen into what each one is telling us.

And that also is helping us listen to our intuition,

To our truest desires and seeing,

You know,

And then listening into our solar plexus,

Which is where the gut feelings come from the good aligned intuition gut feelings come from this area as well.

I hope that was enlightening and helpful and I'll talk to you guys soon.

Bye.

This was a really helpful explanation. I liked the focus on what it feels like and sounds like, and even the subsequent journey (e.g. anxiety taking you down a path that stays in your head). Look to forward to learning more about the delineation from a gut feeling.
