Your attention for armament is the sensation of your feet on the floor.
You sit on the chair or pillow and your head resting above your spine.
You may or not decide to keep your eyes open.
You may or not decide to keep the kids out of the room.
You may decide to sense your breath off your round at the tip of your nose,
Inhaling there and exhaling and connecting with the simple sensation of hair moving in and out.
Acknowledging that luxury that it is to be able to breathe in an environment that is safe to breathe without smoke and without nasty pollution.
Gratitude for fresh air.
Gratitude for the health of your lungs that allow you to take full breaths and to be nourished by them.
As you're bringing that in your mind maybe notice some warmth developing in your chest some extra thoughts about people not being able to breathe and just stay with the present moment acknowledging of what it feels in your body.
To be grateful don't let the mind take you away already.
Stay with that.
As you breathe in this way try to send your breath all the way down to your feet on the exhale.
That ground.
Soul of the feet in shoes in socks on ground.
Connecting with that gratitude of having support.
Support of Mother Earth that help you feed yourself and loved ones.
Help you water yourself and your loved ones.
That Earth on which you stand to go to places.
On which your car drive to take you elsewhere.
Gratitude for that whole planet that is just below you that you take for granted and yet giving you life day after day.
And those feet of yours those legs maybe on your hands or on your lap or on your leg resting and wow so much appreciation for having legs that are functioning.
Allow you to walk to stand.
And maybe the realization that it's not the case for everyone.
And can you still be grateful if your legs haven't done what they were supposed to do.
And can you be grateful for the wheels that carry you maybe because without them you will be bound to a certain space.
So really it's a gratitude for being about to to move around with feet and legs with wheels with wheels with your hands very pushing the wheel so simply bringing gratitude with your breath all the way to the palm of your hands that help you ride that help you take care of your food that help you take care of children that help you massage yourself or hold a camera or do your job or whatever that is.
Pet your dog feed your bird brush the hair of your children those hands oh my what would you do without them and connecting with your body and on your own with those parts of the body that are usually left and done like your eyes your ears your eyes your ears gratitude to be able to hear us each other even though we are a million kilometers gratitude to see see through the video but also see around your room and see the nature surrounding what a luxury and we had how much we take it for granted being able to see deep meet people see faces connect with others and you may have noticed by now been going through our senses of touch of hearing of seeing and maybe the sense of taste is coming gratitude for the coffee maybe still left in your mouth and the cookie or whatever you add just before class the water being able to taste food to taste drinks but further with the mouth the throat being able to express ourselves what a gift some of you may sing some of you speak eloquently and some of you know maybe how to stay silent at time all of it in combassing being able to share and communicate with others and then coming back to the breath and noticing how that is in your chest as you sink as you reflect this gratitude tastes like in your body where is it and maybe there is part of you being grateful that's really located in having children or having family having partners around a job you like and you're still able to do to your mind i now thinks you're grateful for people you're grateful for in your life so and maybe bringing one simple person to your mind and and repeating in your mind thank you thank you thank you maybe another one thank you thank you thank you you know the thing how that is if maybe you want to bring your hand to the heart to hold that space if this is where you feel it but maybe it's on your tummy maybe connecting the body the mind tree attached and thinking maybe a person showing you gratitude for this last little phase the last person showed you gratitude and you can think that in maybe you had a kind gesture maybe it was not voiced but just at a sight a way a look at you and you knew maybe it's your pet brushing against you and cuckooing or barking or meowing around you in so many ways we we don't notice we we miss the opportunity to be grateful for the simple activity of our body for the simple exchange of our daily life really all all this all this that you are with a lens of gratitude it's easy it's really like putting glasses on in the morning and deciding to be grateful for everything you see everything you hear everything you taste every walk you take every touch you give all you receive it's that easy in a moment i'll invite you to open the eyes again and and take in take in the joy of being with each other all the joy of being in your living room in your room bedroom wherever you meditate and being grateful for that when you're ready opening your eyes if you have clothes and connecting with the glasses if you have to put them back on put them back on
