Hello there beautiful people.
Welcome to yet another meditation by me.
I was strolling today here at my local botanical gardens and when I'm around nature,
It has this tendency to make me feel grateful.
It makes me feel so grateful that at first I have access to nature and that we live in such a beautiful world with so much to see and so much color.
So I thought that this would be a good opportunity for me to share this moment of gratitude with you and lead a meditation that involves gratitude so you can feel more grateful and more positive.
I do apologize in advance for the ambient sounds.
We're in a public place so if people are laughing or talking then not much I can do about that.
But we will focus on the meditation and you will feel great by the end of it.
So as we begin this meditation,
Find yourself seated comfortably.
Ensure that you're in an upright position.
You don't have to sit like me.
You can sit however you like and in whichever way is most comfortable for you.
Now together let's just close our eyes.
So close your eyes and notice how you're feeling.
Notice the emotions.
Notice your breath.
Let's take a deep breath in and slowly breathe out.
Relax your muscles.
And as you are here feeling this sense of presence,
Feeling connected to the moment,
Just ensure that your whole body is relaxed and notice your breath.
I'd like you to bring to mind something about yourself that you are grateful for.
Something about you for which you are grateful.
It could be a personality trait,
It could be a quality of yours,
It could be anything that you think makes you feel grateful.
When you bring that to mind,
Notice how you feel.
Notice how it makes you feel to experience this authentic sense of gratitude for yourself.
There is so much about ourselves that we should be grateful for but we tend to sometimes get caught up in focusing on the negatives and this is an opportunity for you to look into yourself.
What about you are you grateful for?
And now let's take a deep breath in as deep as you can.
Slowly breathe out.
Relax your muscles even further.
Now think of a person in your life for whom you are grateful.
Just a person you may be connected to or appreciate dearly.
A person who brings value to you or at the very least makes you feel loved.
Just bring this person to mind now.
Imagine them being there with you.
Enjoying their presence.
And they are enjoying your presence.
Notice how it feels to be around them.
Just explore the emotions,
The emotions that circulate,
That run through your body when you are with this person.
When you are with them and when you are experiencing the moment with them.
How do they make you feel?
Let's take a deep breath in.
Slowly breathe out.
Now think of something about your life.
Something about your life.
It could be a circumstance that you are enjoying at the moment.
It could be work.
It could be something that you may even take for granted like having a roof or a couch.
Bring to mind something that makes you feel grateful.
Why are you grateful for this?
What exactly about this thing makes you feel grateful?
Notice the feelings,
The emotions that are circulating within you as you bring it to mind.
Now let's breathe in positivity.
And breathe out negativity.
Let it all out.
Now feel free to open your eyes at your own pace when you're ready.
And look around you.
Notice what's going on around you.
Notice the vicinity that you're in and spot something within this space,
In the room that you're in or it could be on your balcony or outside.
Notice something within this space that you're in that you are grateful for.
What is the first thing that comes to mind that you're grateful for?
And notice how it makes you feel when you acknowledge that,
When you bring it up.
Notice this wave of emotion,
Albeit it may be small,
That's okay,
But just notice it.
Why are you grateful for this?
Why are you grateful for this thing within your space?
What about it makes you feel grateful?
I'm looking around me and I'm not focused on a particular object,
But I'm just grateful that we have a beautiful day today here in Melbourne.
It is autumn or fall as you may call it in the US and yet it is incredibly beautiful and I'm so grateful that we have been given such a beautiful day against all odds.
And I get to make the most of today by shooting content for you and making your lives better.
So feel free to go back to this video whenever you need a resurgence in gratitude and I hope to see you again.
I'm sending you lots of love and lots of happiness.
Remember to always smile and laugh from my heart to yours.
Much love.
