A short guided meditation to cultivate attitude of gratitude. In the midst of our busy lives we can often forget that we have so much to be grateful for. Sit down, close your eyes, connect to your breath and allow the feeling of gratitude to wash over you.

Start by sitting up in a comfortable position.

Allow your eyes to close down and take a few moments to arrive in your body.

Begin to deepen your breath by making each inhalation and exhalation a little bit longer and a little bit smoother.

Become aware of your physical body by scanning it and noticing how you feel.

Whether it is beginning of your day,

Middle,

Or the end of it,

Start to focus your attention on finding gratitude within you.

You can place your hand on your heart and feel your heartbeat.

From that place,

Feel the expansion of your chest and ribcage and how your heart space expands.

Let's start with yourself and your body.

This beautiful and strong vessel that allows you to breathe,

To move,

To feel and use all your senses.

Your body does so much for you to keep you healthy.

Consider your eyes,

Your nose,

Your mouth,

Your skin,

Your limbs,

Your torso and how important they are to you.

Realize and appreciate how intelligent,

Strong,

And resilient your body is.

Take a deep breath in and quietly say to yourself,

Thank you body.

I love you.

Now think about your mind,

Your incredible,

Vast,

And multidimensional mind.

Things that it allows you to grasp,

Learn,

And understand what it does for you on a daily basis.

You are intelligent,

Kind,

And grateful for all that your mind does for you.

Take a deep breath in and quietly say to yourself,

Thank you mind.

I love you.

Now visualize the people in your life you love and appreciate.

Your friends,

Your family,

Your partner.

See them smiling at you.

Those who are there for you,

Support you,

Cherish you,

And celebrate you.

Feel deep gratitude for those human beings.

Think about those who were once in your life and who left,

Who taught you something,

Led the way,

Or brought some valuable lessons.

Take a deep breath in and thank them for being in your life.

Now think about your job,

Your home,

Your clothes,

Food on your table,

Your comfortable bed,

And all the material possessions that make your life easier,

More enjoyable,

And beautiful.

Feel gratitude for all the things we often take for granted.

Lastly,

Say thank you to yourself for being you.

Look how far you have come.

Appreciate your journey and how much you have grown.

Know that you are exactly where you're supposed to be.

All is well.

Take a deep breath in and quietly say thank you,

Thank you,

Thank you.
