Hello,

This is Ale Garnica.

This meditation is to connect with the gratitude we feel towards our past self.

That version of ourselves that did what she could or what he could to get us where we are today.

Now I invite you to sit down or lay down.

You can do this while walking or while driving,

But if you're sitting or laying down,

Close your eyes.

And now observe how your body moves when you breathe in and when you breathe out.

You probably see your chest expanding or your tummy expanding when you breathe in and then contract when you breathe out.

And now we're going to take three deep breaths.

Breathe in,

Breathe out,

Breathe in,

Breathe out.

And one more,

Breathe in and breathe out.

And take a few moments to observe your silence within that beautiful,

Quiet and calm space that goes with you wherever you go.

And now let's connect with that beautiful feeling of gratitude towards the person we once were.

We often connect with who we want to become,

But we sometimes forget about the person that we were in the past.

And if it wasn't because of him or because of her,

We wouldn't be where we are.

Mentally,

Offer these to your past self.

Thank you for everything you have done.

Thank you for making decisions,

For facing fears,

For the determination,

The persistence,

The love that you created for us to be where we are today.

I know there were times when you felt scared.

And there were times when you decided to move forward,

Even when everything looked uncertain.

You were the one who walked the path to be where we are right now.

You were the one who had a dream and made it possible through the actions you took.

Because of that,

Right now I am living the dream that you envisioned back then.

And I want to show you that everything you were thinking about,

Everything you were thinking about,

Even when it didn't happen,

It made us stronger.

But those things that happened are worth the effort,

Are worth facing those fears.

You are a very brave person.

You did the best you could.

And I want to thank you for that.

Thank you for every single step,

Every single decision you took.

I love you.

We've evolved into a different version.

I'm proud of you.

You are strong.

You're beautiful.

You're capable.

You're resilient.

Thank you for everything you've done for us.

And now,

I invite you to put your hands on your chest,

Where your heart is.

And while doing that,

Offer anything,

Any thought,

Any emotion to your past self.

It's your chance to express how grateful you are towards him or towards her.

And now,

To close the practice,

Keep your hands on your heart.

And take three deep breaths.

Breathe in.

Breathe out.

Breathe in.

Breathe out.

And one more.

Breathe in.

Hold.

Breathe out.

And slowly,
