Welcome to your meditation,

The end of the day.

Find a comfortable seat,

Whether in a chair with your back supported or sitting on the ground or on a cushion.

Gently close your eyes,

Resting your hands on your knees or in your lap,

Whatever is comfortable and allow yourself to be present in this moment.

Notice your breath,

Inhaling deeply,

Slowly in through the nose and then slowly with control exhale,

Scanning your body for any tension,

Any place you are clenching,

Tightening,

Any aches or pains and allow the energy of your breath to flow over these areas,

Relaxing and letting go.

With each exhale,

Imagine the stress cascading down like water,

Drawn out through the soles of your feet into the earth.

You are held by the earth.

Rest is nourishing and necessary.

Trust and give yourself permission to rest,

If just for these few moments.

If your mind starts to wander,

Simply return to the breath.

Allow your body to grow heavy,

Rounding down,

Feeling the earth beneath you,

Holding you up even on the toughest days.

Now take the deepest breath you've taken all day,

Inhale through the nose and exhale it all out with an audible sigh.

Do that once more,

Inhaling through the nose slowly and exhaling out through the mouth.

Feel everything around you slowing down.

As the day is coming to a close,

Know that you've done your best and that is all any of us can do.

Tomorrow is a fresh new day full of hope and potential and like today and every day,

You are loved,

You are held and you are divinely guided.

Allow yourself to sit quietly,

Being present just for another minute or two,

Releasing all the tension you've been holding on to,

Returning to the breath,

Returning to the body.

And as you're ready,

Take one more deep inhale together and exhale gently,

Opening your eyes,

Returning to your space.

Feel relaxed and ready for rest and for a new day tomorrow.

Namaste.
