Hello my friend,

Welcome to this short practice to bring you out of a state of doing and into a state of being.

So it's perfect for those busy days or when you just want to connect yourself in a more subtle way.

So you find a comfortable position you can lie down or you can sit for this one and then close down your eyes and let your attention move inside and begin by noticing your breath and for the next few moments just consciously start to slow down your breath and as you do that notice the outside world progressively drop away.

Every rhythm,

Every cycle of your breath,

The outside world gets quieter and quieter.

Okay so for about the next minute or so I'd like you to begin to shape your breath into a rhythm.

So inhaling for four counts and exhaling for eight counts.

So you're counting silently internally and breathing through your nose.

Take your time.

Find the pace that feels good for you now.

Inhaling for four and exhaling for eight.

Notice how it feels to breathe this way.

Notice the mind settling into the rhythm.

And if you like you can actually pause the breath at the end of the exhale for as long as you like before you take the next inhale.

And if you do take that option notice the spaciousness in that pause.

An opportunity to completely let go.

Just take a few more rounds like that.

Great job.

One more round right here and then at the end of that pause after the exhale relax the technique all together and just return to your natural rhythm of breathing.

And for the next few moments now just observe your body breathing itself.

So the body's breathing and you're just watching.

And now relax your mind completely.

So empty.

Let go.

And from here for the purposes of this practice I'd like you to shift your perspective so that instead of experiencing yourself as doing the breathing begin to experience life breathing you.

So instead of doing you are now just being.

And life itself is breathing you.

For the next minute or so let go and let yourself be breathed.

Experience it as nourishing and liberating.

Experience it as being held and being free.

Let yourself be breathed.

Beautiful job my friend.

Now regather yourself and regather your breath.

So take a deep inhale and a full exhale and release the practice.

So may this practice have reminded you of the essence in your connection to life and how you are always held by life.

And may you carry the sweetness in that remembrance into the rest of your day.

Thank you for coming to your practice.

Namaste.
