This is a meditation on reverence and gratitude. Learn to trust your creativity, keep your heart open, and connect to the bigger spirit that lives inside you. This is your year of self-discovery, a journey to create a life filled with grace, meaning, zest, peace, and joy. With warmth and wisdom from a lifetime of spiritual seeking, inspirational force Agapi Stassinopoulos presents one of her 32 guided meditations on letting go of what doesn’t work for you and finding what does. You’ll cultivate the building blocks of self-care (meditation, health, making time for yourself) and confront the common roadblocks we all face, like pouring your energy into other people or living in denial. You’ll explore your “conflict” areas, such as relationships, money, self-esteem, anxiety, and your childhood.

Find a comfortable place where you won't be interrupted for a little while.

Center yourself in yourself.

Relax your body and your emotions.

Let go of any tension and any concerns of the day.

Envision a beautiful warm white light.

Ask that this light fill you,

Surround you and protect you.

Bringing a sense of deep calmness and safety.

Open up your creative imagination and start to imagine the vastness of the universe.

There you are,

Sitting in the space where you are.

But let your mind expand into the vast universe that surrounds us.

200 billion galaxies.

Billions and trillions of planets.

100 billion,

Trillion stars.

And this little planet Earth revolving around the powerful energy of the sun.

Wow!

Take a moment to be in awe of the vastness of it all.

And that it is in constant motion.

Unimaginable.

And awe inspiring.

The only response to this inexplicable mystery of the universe is reverence.

A deep sense of reverence.

And a profound heartfelt thank you.

As you take your next breath,

Consider this.

Where does your breath come from?

Your breath of life without which you cannot exist.

There is no answer.

None of us know.

It is freely given.

And the only response is.

.

.

Thank you.

As you take your next breath,

Breathe in this immense gratitude for the gift of your life.

As you exhale,

Let your gratefulness overflow.

Let your heart soften.

Take in the awe,

The wonder of it all.

Take your two hands and clasp them together.

Your fingers.

Aren't they amazing,

These fingers?

They move.

They have bones and skin and nails.

Feel your hands and be in awe of your hands.

Your feet.

Your knees that bend.

Your neck that turns left and right.

Your amazing shoulders.

Your elbows.

What a miracle.

Your eyes that they can see,

They see colors.

They open and they close.

Your vocal cords.

They make sounds.

Your mouth that forms words that communicate thoughts.

Your ears that hear millions of different sounds.

What a miracle we are.

The only response is.

.

.

Thank you.

Start to see and feel how much you have to be grateful for.

And go down the list of all the extraordinary things around your life that you might be taking for granted.

The chair you're sitting on right now,

How many people it took to make the chair?

How did it get to your place?

Imagine.

Just that simple chair.

The design,

The manufacturing,

The hands that made it,

The people who delivered it to your place.

And the only response is.

.

.

Thank you.

Think of the water you drink in a glass.

Clean water.

How did it get there?

Where did it come from?

How many people did it take to get that water to you?

There are millions and millions of people who don't have access to clean water.

And yet for us,

It is a given.

The only response is.

.

.

Thank you.

Thank you.

Start to make an endless list in your life.

About all the little things to the big things,

And of course to all the people around you.

Your relationships.

Even if there are hard times,

Even if there is conflict,

Isn't it wonderful that you are surrounded by so many people,

Each one of them is so unique?

Look at their faces and see the humanity under every face.

Let your heart be filled with this extraordinary gift of humanity.

Send waves of light and love and gratitude about all the humans you meet every day.

Your loved ones,

Strangers,

People at the supermarket.

Be in reverence of it all.

Let your light shine on every aspect of your life.

On every strand of your hair.

Issue a deep prayer inside that as you walk in your daily life,

You will remember not to take anything for granted,

But to live in this immense gratitude and reverence and awe,

And that you will be blessed to know the mystery of life in you and all around you.

Ask that this mystery of who you are and this miraculous universe you are part of be revealed to you.

Bow to this universal energy that makes all things come to light,

And you get to partake.

And in this stillness,

In this place of deep surrender,

Listen to your higher wisdom,

Which is always there.

Pause throughout the day to listen,

To connect,

And to cultivate this gift of gratitude.

As you fill yourself with this good,

Joyful feeling,

Gently open your eyes and become present in the room.

Maybe now you notice things you've never noticed before.

Little details around you.

Remembering how many people's efforts and journeys it took to make everything around you possible.

Walking your day with your heart resonating,

Thank you,

Thank you.

Silently do your day as a thank you.

Drink some water to ground yourself.

Wiggle your beautiful fingers and tell them thank you.

Wiggle your toes and feet and say thank you.

Turn your neck left and right and stand.

Stretch and say thank you.

Open your arms and embrace yourself and say thank you.

If you would like,

Pick up your pen and say thank you.

And your beautiful journal.

And write your thank you list for the day.

Or anything else that has been revealed to you.

When you go out into the world,

Take a moment and look at the sky.

We so rarely look at the sky.

Let yourself wonder and be in awe.
