Namaste my friends.
Today I invite you to find a comfortable seat,
To sit down,
To root into the earth below you,
To feel supported for a few minutes,
And to notice your breath.
Begin to pause between inhale and exhale,
Inviting in a deeper breath,
A longer,
Slower exhale,
And maybe a few sighs of relief,
Of peace,
That you get to take this time and just relax.
While we're relaxing here together,
There's some things that I want you to hear,
And I encourage you to affirm to yourself,
Whether quietly,
Silently in your mind,
Or out loud.
I want to bring your attention to your body,
Which is always healing,
And serving you,
And loving you,
And protecting you.
I invite you to take this time to fully appreciate your body,
And how wonderful and miraculous it is.
I know so many people can face challenges in their health,
Whether physical,
Emotional,
Or mental,
And this can challenge our perception of our body,
And how it works for us.
But in this space here,
I invite you to set everything down,
And just spend some time with your body,
Even if it has been an enemy to you,
Even if it has confused you.
I invite you back into your own embrace,
To spend time sitting with,
And getting to know your body,
And listening to its gentle cues,
And feeling all that it does for you.
Opening up to the possibility that it doesn't make mistakes,
And that healing and adaptations in the body look different than what we can understand sometimes.
It's a strange world,
But one thing is for sure,
Within ourselves,
Our body,
Our own minds,
Our own hearts,
Is a paradise,
And a force that fights for us.
We are wanted on this planet,
We are made in the image of something that has created us.
Our bodies are made perfectly,
Perfectly imperfect.
I invite you to place a hand on your heart,
Breathing,
Just feeling your body,
And inviting in just a little bit of gratitude,
Even if it's just a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of inviting in just a little bit of gratitude,
Even if it's difficult,
Opening up to a friendship,
Getting to know,
Becoming an acquaintance with your body and its sensations.
Feeling your lungs fill with oxygen,
Feeling the softness of the front of the body,
And how it can kind of curl forward in vulnerability,
Perhaps inviting the strength of the back body to open and settle and invite ease in the front body,
Letting the shoulders relax,
Releasing from the space behind the eyes,
Relaxing the jaw,
The temples,
And feeling your body,
Breathing for you,
Healing for you,
Loving you endlessly.
It's okay to not always love your body,
But there are a few affirmations that can help you get acquainted with it.
Please repeat to yourself or just follow along,
Listening,
Breathing,
And opening up to the possibility of feeling in sync and feeling in love with your body like you deserve to before the world got in the way,
Telling you what you should look like,
What things should feel like.
There's no wrong way to be you.
There's no wrong way to look at yourself in the mirror and say,
I love you,
Body,
Even if I don't fully understand you.
Whenever you remember coming back into the gratitude and affirmation,
That's always available to you,
Holding your heart and saying,
I love you,
Heart.
I love you,
Heart.
I love you,
Body.
I love you,
Breath.
Thank you for moving me through life and my experiences.
Thank you for your strength,
For your vitality,
For your ability to heal.
Thank you for sitting with me through discomfort and sending me signals that maybe weren't easy to comprehend,
But I see how everything is a love language between me,
Myself,
And my body if I really look to see.
For those of you who have battled with chronic ailments and pain,
I send a wave of peace and ease all the way into your cells so you may unclench.
You don't need to hold around the pain or the fear or the unknown of experiencing these repetitive symptoms.
It's okay to fully rest for a few minutes here,
To surrender the battle against the world,
Ourselves,
And our bodies and say,
I love you,
Body.
I will make healthful decisions.
I will act with integrity for your highest good and honor.
I will love you as you love me.
I love you,
Body.
I love you,
Body.
I know that you love me.
Breathe here,
Just letting the gentle affirmation settle into your skin,
Your pores,
Your cells,
To penetrate deeply into your organs and everything that holds you together.
You can whisper and hush and say,
It's okay.
You are seen,
You are felt,
And I love you.
Breathe here as long as you need,
And come back as often as you need to be washed with the affirmation and the appreciation that you and your body deserve.
To be washed with the affirmation and the appreciation that you and your body deserve.
Existing on this planet is nothing short of miraculous,
And our bodies take us through all of our experiences.
Our bodies breathe for us.
They carry us.
It's nice sometimes to just sit and appreciate the magic of our very existence without even striving for anything else.
Remember to celebrate your whole life,
Your body,
And your breath,
Dropping into awareness,
Mindfulness,
And appreciation as often as possible.
Namaste,
My friends.
