My friends.
This is a very brief meditation.
Wherever you are,
Soften your gaze,
Relax,
Feel your feet on the floor,
And breathe.
We're dropping right in right away with some affirmations.
My feeling and experiencing guilt and shame benefits no one.
I do not need to carry guilt or shame with me.
It is safe for me to put down guilt and shame,
Lay it in front of you.
The guilt,
The shame,
Whatever it is you're carrying,
Witness it without judgment.
Say thank you and witness the space between you and that thing,
That feeling,
That emotion,
And know that you can put it down as many times as you need.
We can't always demand it to leave.
Sometimes we have to sit with it and invite it in,
Experience it fully.
It allows us to honor the emotion and ourselves.
Energy really is just emotions.
Energy and motion,
Emotions.
There's nothing wrong with emotions.
It's safe to witness them.
It's safe to clear the way from guilt and shame,
To get to the heart of how you really feel and who you really are,
And I assure you it's pretty spectacular.
So breathe with me and say it to yourself either aloud or in your mind.
It is safe for me to put down guilt and shame.
It is not mine to carry.
I do not need to carry guilt and shame.
It serves no one.
Instead,
I can make space for all that I am and all that I will be.
In the absence of this guilt and shame,
I will make space for joy,
For love,
For peace,
And for pure elation.
And so it is.
