Gratitude isn’t always easy—sometimes it feels natural, and other times it feels completely out of reach. This guided practice is about meeting yourself where you are and gently exploring gratitude without pressure or expectation. Whether you feel it deeply or you’re just curious about what it could feel like, this session is here to hold space for you as you soften into the moment. Let’s take this time together to relax, breathe, and explore—no need to force anything, no need to get it “right.” Just an open invitation to shift, even slightly, toward something lighter.

Namaste,

My friends.

Welcome to your gratitude meditation.

Regardless of whether you feel gratitude in this moment or not,

I encourage you to just get comfortable and to create space in your body,

Sending breath to wherever feels tight,

Relaxing,

But keeping a firm,

Strong foundation in your sit bones,

Up your back,

But opening the heart,

Breathing,

And opening up to allowing in some gratitude.

Because whether we feel gratitude or not doesn't determine whether we deserve to.

Gratitude is like our birthright,

And when we lose touch and lose sight of it,

We can recultivate our connection with it through mindfulness.

So let's do that now.

Close your eyes if they're not already.

Breathing in,

Pausing at the top,

Tucking your chin,

Feeling your neck strengthen,

Elongate,

Feeling the spine,

The middle line down the back,

Allowing you to settle in while elongating.

Allow yourself to have big,

Slow exhales,

Releasing everything that gets in the way of you and all the gratitude that you can cultivate now.

Feel your sit bones on the floor,

And I invite you to curve your lips upward into a smile if that feels comfortable for you.

Continue to breathe,

And I want you to just allow whatever comes to your mind's eye when I say the word gratitude.

I would like you to explore what you're immediately thankful for,

And if nothing comes up right away,

There's no problem with that.

That allows us to get more curious,

To learn it,

Lean in,

And to explore.

Gratitude is like an art,

Finding it in things where we wouldn't normally,

Remembering that it's a part of us,

It's inherent,

And reconnecting with it.

It's all a practice,

And there's no wrong way to do it.

Just cultivate it however feels good for you,

Whether that's thinking of a loved one,

Positive experience,

A recent achievement,

Or even just something that you survived.

Maybe you haven't had any recent,

You know,

Notable achievements,

But you know,

Are overlooking just how resilient you are and all of the lessons you've learned,

And some of them may have been tough.

There's always gratitude available,

Even for the tough things,

Because they transform us,

And there's no denying this,

That they shift our perspective on things and allow us to actually create room for more light.

We wouldn't know what light is if there wasn't dark or challenge,

So take this moment to just appreciate and have gratitude for yourself and everything you've been through,

And your ability to still smile,

Connect to ease,

Bliss,

And joy,

Even if it's just fleeting moments,

And it's not as often as you would like.

Be thankful for your neutral.

Be thankful for everything that you do have right now,

Because there's a version of you in the past that wanted to be here,

And no matter how much further you feel like you have to go,

You're still doing amazing exactly where you are,

So breathe into this and allow yourself to explore what makes you feel thankful,

And allow it to just completely surround and envelop you energetically,

Like a cleansing,

And energizing,

And a little ritual to remind you of your power,

Your resilience,

How unique you are,

All that you offer the world,

All that you already have,

And you already have accomplished,

And what you will accomplish.

Thank you for taking this time to sit with and appreciate yourself and to cultivate gratitude with me.

I'm very thankful for that myself.

Come back as often as you need.

I'm always here cheering you on.

Namaste.
