ACIM Lesson 251 Contemplation

"I am in need of nothing but the truth."
This lesson emphasizes that our only real need is for the truth, and that all other perceived needs are ultimately unfulfilling. It encourages us to recognize that we have sought many things in the past, only to find despair, and that now we seek only one thing - the truth - in which we can find all we truly need. A Course in Miracles,

Lesson 251 I am in need of nothing but the truth.

I sought for many things,

And found despair.

Now do I seek but one,

For in that one is all I need,

And only what I need.

All that I sought before I needed not,

And did not even want.

My only need I did not recognize,

But now I see that I need only truth.

In truth,

All needs are satisfied.

In truth,

All cravings end.

In truth,

All hopes are finally fulfilled.

In truth,

All dreams are gone.

Now I have everything that I could need.

Now I have everything that I could want.

Now at last I find myself at peace.

For that peace,

Our Father,

We give thanks.

What we denied ourselves,

You have restored.

And only that peace is what we really want.

I sought for many things,
