ACIM Lesson 239 Prayer

"The glory of my Father is my own."

This lesson emphasizes that we share in God's glory and should not hide this truth through false humility. It encourages us to be thankful for the gifts God has given us and to recognize that we are among those with whom glory is shared. The lesson reminds us that God loves us forever and sees us as we were created... without sin or guilt. We are invited to unite in the light that shines within us, recognizing our oneness with God and all creation, and to be at peace with ourselves and the world.

Lesson 239 The Glory of My Father is My Own.

Today let not the truth about ourselves be hidden by a false humility.

Let us instead be thankful for the gifts our Father gave us.

In those with whom our Father shares His glory,

Can we see any trace of sin and guilt?

Can it be that we are not among them when our Father loves His children forever and with perfect constancy,

Knowing we are as He created us?

We thank You,

Father,

For the light that shines forever in us.

We honor this light because,

Father,

You share it with us.

Father,

We are one,

United in this light,

United and one with You.

Father,

We are at peace with all creation.

Father,

We are at peace with ourselves.

Let not the truth about myself be hidden by a false humility.

The glory of my Father is my own.

Nothing real can be threatened.

Nothing unreal exists.

Herein lies the peace of God.
